    2017 Mustang GT w/Roush SC

I just saw this thread and thought I would put my 2 cents in. I owned a 13 Shelby GT500 for 4 years, had every option, but the Glass Roof, which would have been nice. The car is everything people say, fast for stock, massive torque, great gearbox but the final gearing is very tall, so a gear...

Updating Heat Exchanger, VMP fans or Whipple oversized no fans

The thing that i really like about the Whipple oversized is that it extends much higher up and would be in a good air stream vs about everybody else'e HX's. Fan's are a good idea at low speeds, but the additional load on the electrical system, the noise, etc. I know fans are the norm now days...

Updating Heat Exchanger, VMP fans or Whipple oversized no fans

Guys, If updating the stock Heat Exchanger for lower IAT2's, Would the VMP Dual Fan HX be better than the Whipple over sized with no fans. The Whipple is huge. The location of the HX is blocked by the huge front bumper/Crash bar, so it makes you wonder how any of them see any air. One is...

    2020 GT500 vs C8

There is a hell of a weight difference between the two, so hard to compare. 3,300 vs over 4,000 on the Shelby or what ever it will be. Ford is being very tight lipped about the weight of the new GT500. That alone is huge advantage for the C8. It should do everything better.

Anybody know the 0-100-0 for the 13-14 GT500

Plus, I think the 13-14 got cheated on tires. Crappy Goodyears and only a 265 on the front would not help with stopping power. Tires have advanced along with the cars in past few years.

Anybody know the 0-100-0 for the 13-14 GT500

Group, I don't want to beat a dead horse, but with the 2020 GT500 being able to do a 0-100-0 MPH in 10.7 seconds, was there ever a test done with our 13-14 Gt500's. All I could find was a Car and Driver test that had a 0-100 in 7.7 seconds. I know the 2020 will be better at everything, but I...

anyone want to get rid of a pulley removal tool?

Not to derail this thread, but if a person puts a 2.4 pulley on, must you change belt length, idler, etc? I have been thinking about doing a 2.4, but here too, only 91 octane fuel and when I did my intake and twin 67, my tuner advised i was pushing the 91. Not sure if it would be worth the risk.

    Michelin Pilot Sport 4s 265/40/19

I think if I could do the front's again, I would do the 275 as the 265 just don't look wide enough on the rim. I tried taking a picture, but it would not post up.

    Michelin Pilot Sport 4s 265/40/19

I went with the stock size on the MPSS as the 4' were only available for the rear when I did mine. The front's look small to me, not wide enough. Sent from my SM-G955U using the svtperformance.com mobile app

Is the Trinity still "King of the Hill"???

Ya know, There are times when I wish my 13 GT500 was an Auto, such as heavy traffic or when somebody wants a pull form a stop light. It would be much easier to launch consistently. But then, just driving and rowing the gears, that is were the fun of a manual trans is fun and enjoyable. Don't...

Is the Trinity still "King of the Hill"???

I know when I first saw a picture of the new 2020 GT500, I did not say Holy Shit as I think we knew it would be like a GT350 on Steroids, so we were ready. The power and features on the 13, when it came out, I did say holy F#@king Shit. it was a hugh advance in power, speed, adjustable...

Is the Trinity still "King of the Hill"???

Yes, The 2020 GT500 will be a superior car to the 13-14 GT500's, but there will be things about the 13-14 that will always stand out. Last car that Mr. Shelby had input and put his hands on in the Pre Production cars. 5.8 engine was made only for 2 years and for the 13-14 GT500 only. The 13...

Need some help, time for more powah!

I'll put my vote of confidence in for BJ also as over the winter and early spring, I got the VMP 67mm TB and just the JLT intake tube and had BJ do my tune. He spent the extra time to dial this in. Just simple mods, but only having 91 Octane, I did not want to risk the 2.4 pulley, as again, only...

Stock Blower Belt Life 2013 GT500

Cat monkey I agree with that. Look at what happens to rubber over time. It's the time I am most worried about. Anybody know what length is correct for stock pulleys? Sent from my SM-G955U using the svtperformance.com mobile app

Stock Blower Belt Life 2013 GT500

Hey Group, A question, I am stock upper and lower on pulleys and have around 12,000 miles. Belt still looks good, but should I be replacing it soon? What is an average for what most people get before changing out the belt? It is 6 years old. And anybody know what the best belt and length when...

    Updating a tune

I think most tuners, and Ford, will allow the timing to advance if the Knock sensors are not seeing any knock, so if tuned for 91 octane and you have some 93, if the computer is happy, it will advance the timing, taking advantage of the increased octane rating. From my research, I think you are...

I have always just uploaded the new tune without going back to stock. I believe that the only time you should go back to stock is if you are updating the device on SCT's website.

Data Logging, TC off but still not full throttle?

Well, Son of a Gun. I did the #4 mode and I thought I had tried that before, but it does work. Thanks guy for letting me ramble. Now if I could get my Data Logs done, but we have cross winds of 50 mph. Not a good day. Sent from my SM-G955U using the svtperformance.com mobile app

Data Logging, TC off but still not full throttle?

Thanks Snoopy, Yes, that's the table I was looking at. Truthfully, I had always just hit the TC one and was done. I tried holding it down once before, and didn't really notice any difference, but will try it again very soon. Merkyworks, Thanks for that info. I think I am only getting like 50%...

Data Logging, TC off but still not full throttle?

I found another thread about the TC and Advance Track, (AT), but I had tried the brake on and hold the TC buttom down, no change. Now when I had an 2011 5.0 Auto trans, you had TC off with one tap, Hold the button down, and it did display AT off. Guess i will play with it some more.
