got a new job that will be a 70 mile round trip each day, and i don't want to put the miles on this car. the car has been perfectly taken care of and will make...

i'm thinking about having my tvs polished. the polishingshop.com has good pricing compared to steigmeier and mirrorfinishpolishing.com, but i don't know much about them. has anybody used them?
anybody have any other recommendations for reputable companies that you'd trust polishing your...
i've had this sitting in the garage for a while, but i finally got it installed this weekend. i pieced together my own fittings and use a stainless steel hose for some added shine under the hood. this thing is a SNUG fit. it should be interesting when i try to drain it for the first time. maybe...
bangastang WHO? lol
well, i FINALLY got these pieces painted and cleared (both OEM pieces). i say finally because it was a long drawn out process that we had to redo a couple of times. brian (from pancoast) said this would be a TOUGH DIY project, but i went ahead and tried anyway. i found out...
well i thought this would be a fun DIY project...turns out it was.
before i go any further it's important to note that i had access to professional paint guns, but you could do this with aerosol cans and still get a good result (i think). we also used PPG "Shop Line" brand poly paint...
after a lot of research, help from some great forum members, and my neighbor i got my coil cover project finished this weekend. i polished the fins and painted the rest kona metallic blue. i plan on doing a more detailed write up this week, but here is the finished product.
so i'm getting ready to paint some engine pieces over the weekend with my neighbor's help. last night he says "why don't we go ahead and paint your valve covers too while we're at it" i immediately thought "ah hell", but once i pictured the new look in my head i was in. the only problem is i've...
Not a good day for this Vette owner...
Lucky Corvette driver survives trailer crash that experts call too common | Motoramic - Yahoo! Autos
ouch!! this is one lucky guy..
yes, i'm a jackass and put about a half a tank of 87 in my car. i only drive it on weekends and i'm used to putting 87 in my company car all week. out of habit i just pushed the wrong button. tried to siphon it out with no luck, so i ended up filling the rest up with 93. so i've got a 50/50 mix...
Anybody have tire suggestions for a 19in rim? I'd love to have some Nitto 555r's but they don't make it in a 19. I see they make the NT05r in a 19 but it's a 305 and I'm not sure if it's too wide for a 10pm wide rim.
Thoughts?
it's hard to say in a title, but who has done the work themselves?
i thought it'd be a fun DIY to paint/polish my coil covers, but i've never done it before. does anybody have any tips or tricks you used when doing your own? what tools will i need?
i'd like to paint them kona blue, but...
thanks to BJ and a great write up on the "how to" section, we got the VMP TVS installed today with absolutely no issues whatsoever. BJ has been super patient with me over the last week or so answering EVERY question i had no matter what time it was. he was even on the phone with me around 10pm...
needless to say i didn't sleep good last night thinking about this install, and when i did sleep, i was installing it in my dreams lol... obsession? but of course! hoping for a good turnout with no issues!
anybody got any last minute advice?
well, it's been over a year in the making trying to prep my car for a bigger blower, and i finally pulled the trigger on a VMP TVS.
i've got to thank BJ for doing an excellent job of working with my budget to get what i wanted. not to mention he was answering my last minute questions around...
i know this install is super easy, the only question i have is...how do i know it's doing it's job after the install since i can't really see anything? i've got aeroforce gauges so i can monitor temp levels, but i haven't got my tune yet that will change fan settings (will have it shortly)...
i'm looking to add a vmp tvs and supporting mods this year along with a one piece DS and street radials. i'll have anywhere from 630-650 rwhp. my question is, how will a stock clutch do with this kind of set up? i'll never take the car to the track, so to all you street guys that have a similar...
i'll start by saying i've got eibach pro kit lowering springs, adj BMR UCA and mount, and a BMR adj pan hard bar.
i'd like to add some LCA's to finish off my suspension mods...for now. my question is, do i need adjustable or nonadjustable LCA's, and will i need relocation brackets? this is...
Supercharged GT500 blows up on the Dyno - YouTube
i'm sure this video has been around a while, but i'm just seeing it. this is my (and probably your) worst nightmare.... ouch!
so i finally got around to installing the HE on my 2010 this weekend, and i'm very happy with it. the install was relatively easy, but i got hung up when it came to pulling my bumper cover off. just have to yank that sucker! more than anything the install is just time consuming (doing it for...
I bought this anticipating a VMP TVS in the future (which is still in my plans). I'm not going to get the blower until March, meanwhile this TB is packed away in the garage. I'd like to sell it to free up some funds for suspension stuff while I wait for the blower. I don't HAVE to sell it, but...
what's going to be your first mod of 2013??
i just installed my redline quicklift elite hood struts and love them! so long prop rod!
up next is a dual fan HE...
i'm getting ready to install my afco dual fan on my 2010 but have a couple questions.
1. can you jump the HE coolant pump on the 2010's to burp the system? i'd rather do this than start the car up. if so, how?
2. for those of you who have installed the afco, did you keep the 30amp fuses in...
I just got mine and will be installing it soon. The problem is, I don't know much about wiring. If you've done the install it'd be great to see pics of the install. I can't find much on here.
Thanks!
found out today we are taking the corp jet up to the game sunday to watch the steelers! we'll be in the pepsi suite which should be ridiculously awesome since they are a major sponsor!
now if we can just get a win!
