Unfortunately not. It was a some Cyber Monday special that if you purchased the SCT you would get FRPP diff gears for free. So I've had the tuner way before the vendors started offering tunes.
You're correct. I found the post on how to build it a while back, but never saw that I could buy it. Didn't want to take the time to build it because I will have it tuned out but haven't made it to a tuner yet. The SCT handheld that I have doesn't have a setting to remove them.

How long did you leave it running while burping?
When I burp mine it will run for a good 20 mins with the crossover unplugged. Yes you will have a lot of coolant leak out but that is because the trapped air rushes to the crossover burp spot and pushes some coolant out.
You want to run the car...
I never threw any codes but did have a hanging idle due to a leak at the IMRC on the end at the bearings. Age caused them to crack and leak air.
I discovered it by taking everything apart and noticing cracks there. Replaced with IMRC deletes and no hanging idle.
This could be another source...
You can use kerosene to clean the sludge/oil. Just keep it away from any silicone or rubber. The epoxy that holds the intake pipes together shouldn't be affected by it - but I would double check online.
There is always that one dumb-dumb that ruins it for our drive. People pull out in front of me all the time in the Cobra. Never my other cars though...
The power steering isn't powered by vacuum. It's belt driven. So I don't see how that could be it either. Have you checked your tensioner to see if the belt is being given enough tension? If the belt slipped then you would feel that loss. Oil on the belt can do that too.
I just replaced my IMRCs with the deletes. I upgraded my injectors and rebuilt (seals) them as they were used. I also took the time to clean out the oil that managed to make it into the intake. With no oil separator I had quite a bit.
Once I program my IMRCs out I will have a perfectly...
You can try to get a hold of Stangbanger856 (https://www.svtperformance.com/forums/threads/rare-96-98-billet-spark-plug-covers-supercharged-for-sale.876767/)
He had some but according to the site - he was last logged in 2 years ago...
Sure about that? When the light turns on the car is supposed to disable ABS. This happens to me occasionally - ever since I upgraded rims. The size difference causes an imbalance in the front/rear rotation is what triggers it. Restarting the car fixes it. However when the light does turn on I...
If you don't burp the system with the crossover tube, then you will never completely get the air out. I've never had an overheating problem.
But then again I have a 3-core radiator, which helps a lot. But even before I didn't have issues. Only had higher temps when air was in the system
How do you know it went out at WOT? Not often do I find myself turning a lot and needing my power steering when at WOT. (Maybe on a circuit track - but even then your speed should allow for no need of power steering)
There could have been air somewhere in there, that caused a temporary loss of...
I'm sure the factory anti-theft is the same from 95 to 96. I have never seen a hood switch on mine. The only thing that triggers when the hood is opened is the hood light.
Maybe mine doesn't have the hood option?
I am about to convert my B-Head valve covers over to C-Head valve covers (99-04). I am doing this as it will be part of the COP Conversion.
I currently have oil that enters the intake from the lack of an oil separator. The C-Head valve covers have two provisions for PCV, Intake Hose, or...
Not sure of the offset on those rims but you should be fine. I had 10" rims with 315s on the back with no issues.
Also you can flip to shocks the create more clearance.
Not sure what it is called but it's the top part that screws down onto the camshaft. There are two per camshaft and held down by 6 bolts.
I noticed that it is cracked right where it meets the piece that bolts in. Would this crack cause any problems? It's not a fracture it's a complete break and...
So I decided to finally tear down the top of my engine to kill many birds with one stone. I plan on doing the COP conversion, clean my IMRCs, Eliminate EGR, and clean the engine.
While I was taking apart my intake to get to the IMRCs I noticed that my valves are the dirtiest things I have...
Hey all,
I am looking for a cheap temporary solution to allow me to drive my Cobra again. I sold my catback as it was the wrong fit (long story) and I was planning to repurchase another proper fit catback afterwards. However as always money issues prevented that purchase.
I currently...
I'm selling my Catback I purchased for my 96 cobra. It was supposed to be the IRS version but they sent the wrong one. Because I was pre staging before the conversion I never checked. Then about a year later I decided to put the exhaust on my SRA setup anyway and then finally noticed. Hence the...
As stated I have a CoverCraft brand car cover for a 1987-1993 Mustang GT convertible. It is black in color and their WeatherShield line. The model number is C10704WB. It is in like new condition. Even though it is an indoor/outdoor cover I used it inside my garage. No mold, tears, snags, or...
Ok so eventually I will be sending my engine off to get rebuilt and my build will start. A pretty extensive build. However before I start taking everything apart I would like to run a tank of race fuel. Before people start claiming it's a waste of money. I'm not concerned about that. I drive my...
