So I got a new tune and now it's running smooth again. The idle problems are gone now, but I think that was related to the IAC. I didnt see that I have an adjustable IAC, after I adjusted the IAC screw it's running smooth again at 1000rpms.
First I did the smoke test while the engine was off and then while it was running. But in both cases I didnt see any smoke coming out.
I'm currently running the 90mm MAF, but I told my tuner I'm running the 01 Stock 80mm MAF.
Anybody knows a good company which is offering remote tuning? I got...
So I worked a bit on my Cobra yesterday and this morning. I wasn't able to do the pin-point tests so far, but I will do that this afternoon or tomorrow. But I did the smoke test and I have no vacuum leak or I didn't see any smoke coming from the engine. But when I blew the smoke into the engine...
I've read the pin point test, I will try to do that at the weekend. But something came in my mind, if the the front and read sensor isn't working, shouldnt the CEL light up on the dash?
Isnt P0135 & P0155 just for the upstream o2-sensors?
P0135 - HO2S Sensor Circuit Malfunction (HO2S-11) During testing the HO2S Heaters are checked for opens/shorts and excessive current draw. The test fails when current draw exceeds a calibrated limit and/or an open or short is detected. Short...
Not yet, I will do this when I get my car back.
My mechanic called me today, that he is not able to help. The car is to new for him and he doenst have all the necessary tools & knowledge to help me. Seems that I have to bring it back to my old mechanic, which replace my clutch, flywheel etc...
The car now at the car shop, the guy with take a look at it. I dont know what happens when both upstream O2 sensors are not working. What I can say, that the car didnt have this problem before the clutch and flywheel was replaced.
So I have some news guys. As I mentioned before, I've ordered some spare parts incl. new MAF and ignition coils. Those things arrived today, so installed them this afternoon. So I removed the ignition coil cover and saw that one plug wasnt connected with the coil :(
I installed the new coils...
I will test that, thx.
I just checked what kind of clutch and flywheel I've ordered. IT's a Mcleod Racing 463408 8 Bolt Steel Flywheel and a McLeod Racing 75204 Mustang V8 10 Spline Super Street Pro Clutch Kit. The flywheel should be zero balanced. But my car dude installed it, I thought he...
I probably found the vacuum leak, the plug which is connected to the EGR. I gonna buy a "new" one at ebay, in this case I have at least a spare one.
I will also check the TPS voltage and will adjust it if necessary. I also saw that, that the throttle body set screw is screwed out quite a lot.
Ok, I will check how I can do a smoke test by myself. When the lower fitting would cause a vacuum leak, I should see it. Hopefully not, it's pain in the ass to remove all that stuff :O
Whats the best way to set the correct duty cycle?
So you would suggest, that I should go for a 90mm MAF? I...
@snk-Byte01 is the 90mm MAF really required? I thougt I still can use the 80mm MAF and do a tune with it? My car was tuned btw about 2-3 years ago by Brooks Speed Tuning Support.
When I remember it correct, I used the IAT and extended it so that I install on the IAT2 sensor on the blower.
I never set the idle after I installed the the throttle body. Is that necessary? :D But when I unplug the IAC, wont the car automatically die or do I have to pull the throttle body open manully a bit?
The best way to check if I have a vacuum leak, would be a smoke test or? Yes, I installed...
Hi guys
I have an eaton swapped 2001 cobra, I did a eaton swap several years ago and I never had big problems so far.
I have several "problems" with my Cobra, which are annoying me. I replaced the clutch and flywheel 2 years ago and since then I had the problem, that the car has a very high...
The cobra runs again, it was indeed a popped off hose in the fuel tank. After we dropped the tank, connected the hose again the car started instant again.
Ok, thanks. So last question. When I disconnect the fuel hose connector from the fuel rail and I turn the key to the on postion, should there come some gas out of it even with a bad FRPS?
Ok, I just googled that, to get more information about a bad FRPS. So, when I smell or see fuel in the vacuum line, then the FRPS would be bad or? I also read, that a bad FRPS could cause that the oli smeels like gas.
Damn, that's what I hopped it's not the case. Is there a way, where I can test it to be 100% that's PPRV popped off?
But how can this happen that the PPRV pops off?
Hi guys
I have a problem with my 2001 Mustang Cobra. IT's a eaton swapped cobra, so I hope it's ok to post my problem here :-)
Yesterday I and a friend installed new 00R brake calipers. After we installed them, we did a test drive and everything run smoothly. Then we made a short stop at...
Hello
I damaged the crossover tube of one of my 00R Brembo calipers. I already found the part number, 06.4518.49, but I didnt find any shop that sells it.
Anybody know where I can get one of these crossover tubes?
Best Regards
I bought some months ago, but now I decided to go another route.
