    Throttle Body Swap

Try resetting your KAM before you do anything. You can either disconnect the battery or use your flash tool to reset it. Once you've done that, start it cold and let it idle until it warms up and then put some miles on it.

    McLeod Slave Cylinder

I bought one of McLeod's adjustable throw out bearings, but having heard a similar thing told to me, I used a Ford replacement, so I don't have any direct experience with one. I do have an RXT, however.

With power adders being equal - is there a big difference in MY's?

Coyote ECUs are usually used to control an automatic. transmission The GT500 ECU has no provision for electronic transmission controls. Beyond that, it makes no sense to me. GT500 has no provision for VCT either. On edit: That 2012 is 1320Junkie's car. It's an automatic conversion. It's...

Can you post a measurement on the thickness of the intercooler core? How much trouble was it to remove the plaques?

VMP Intercooler Update (NOTE: Not the heat exchanger)

As far as I know VMP is the only source for a 1" inlet and outlet in an off-the-shelf intercooler. J2 is still performing their flow mod on stock intercoolers but the price has gone up. The VMP unit also needs their 1" water manifold to work with their intercooler which will double the cost of...

    Couple Newbie Questions -

No maintenance for the Ford oil separator. You can set the exhaust to default to sports mode through the setup screens. Press the cobra icon on the steering wheel and you should see the setting.

What all bushings and other areas can I lubricate in the rear end to quiet down some pops, creaks, and clunks?

If you have aftermarket control arms, you have provision for lubrication. These can wear out over time too, so I can't hurt to inspect them by removing them. If it's factory rubber, lubricant is not something that will fix the situation. It may quiet it temporarily, but will just deteriorate...

VMP Performance Apex Predator Lid & Race/Street Intercooler Cores | A Detailed Look

PBD's is machined from a solid block of billet aluminum. VMP uses a cast process. The latter should be cheaper to produce. Both are doing the same thing by adding space between the intercooler and the roof of the lid to improve air flow. PBD's will need some modification for the thicker...

    Throttle Body Upgrades

I have a VMP unit I picked up that was purchased and never installed by another owner and it's waiting on installation after I send mine for a port.

If that o-ring even has a remote possibility of popping out of its groove and getting sucked into the rotors, I'd remove it.

    Exhaust Tips?

This might work. You'd need to figure out what diameter you need and I'd get a fairly fine grit. It's pretty flexible, so you don't want a brush that is a smaller diameter than the smallest surface you would be polishing. I've used these in all sorts of applications. Flex-Hone

    Well, recommendations for longblock builders?

That's how I pulled mine. I didn't even need to remove the hood, but the crane can't be that far from the short block.

    Built engine time.

I'm still running the stock primary chains and sprockets too, but they have been REM polished, cryogenically treated and Micro Blued (friction reduction). This make these powered metal primary cam sprockets stronger than stock. L&M and others still have Cloyes billet secondary sprockets and...

    Supercharger disassembly (2013)

I'm not saying replace the intercooler. I'd base that decision on what you find in the bottom of the manifold. If you want to post pics when you get to that point, I'll share what I would do in your situation. The oil cooler is something I'd replace. If the oil pump picked up any metal...

    Supercharger disassembly (2013)

I thought I'd mention that Ford often recommends replacing things like coolers when metal gets in them. Just bear in mind if you have a lot of small metal shards in the lower intake that could have gotten lodged in the intercooler. they might stay lodged until one day they let loose and get...

Post most recent Pics of your '20-'22 GT500...

Yes, grabber yellow was only a '21 offering. I've been waiting to see production totals, and their not as forthcoming as the earlier model GT500s. This was on Ford's color charts in 1970 and I loved that color, but as a high school kid, I couldn't afford one. One of my buddies snagged a '70...

Anyone done an intake manifold removal?

You can find all the 2021 mustang publications here. It also lists the Mach E, so read carefully. I also got the wiring diagram. What you want is the service information manual CD. I've bought these for every vehicle I've ever owned since the 80s, but I do all my own work. There's an on-line...

Anyone done an intake manifold removal?

I will. I usually have good intentions of trying to document stuff like this, but once I get started it's not always practical to stop, maybe get cleaned up and snap photos. I think it will be pretty straight forward, but Seems most owners farm that type of work out. I do have the service...

    Supercharger disassembly (2013)

It's not that hard. You will need to remove the bolts around the snount and pull it apart. Breaking the seal between the plate on the snout the supercharger can be done with a big screwdriver and some small divits between them for that purpose. They use an anaerobic gasket compound to...
