I had magnaflow on my last car and Bassani on my current one. Both catted X pipes. Fit and quality are the same and they both are on stock manifolds and magnaflow catback.
I did this swap years ago. Keep the 01 harness. Extend the IAT wires to the lower intake where the IAT2 is located on the eaton cars. The alternator wiring isn't hard either. I bought the pigtail for the alternator and the IAT2 and wired them in. I also ran the 03 tank and it bolted right...
I thought about that too because I like to have the factory gauges working too. I don't see why it wouldn't work. I know I can't run the gauge in the side of the block like many do because the mechancial temp sensor bottoms out. I'm fine with a T fitting it works.
I bought one of your coolant crossover plugs for a temp sensor years ago and was wondering if you still made them. I have a 99 cobra and need one to fit the autometer mechanical water temp gauge sensor.
I need one that will fit into the OEM coolant crossover and then accept a mechanical autometer temp sensor. Autometer says that the blue nut on the mechanical temp sensor is 5/8"-18 UNF Female and they sell a 3/8" adapter that the sensor will screw right into. Has anyone used this and had...
They had them a couple months ago. I bought one from Lethal Performance in the fall and their site said it was in stock and it wasn't. Took a few months, but it finally came in. If i had it to do over again I'd have went to Maximum Motorsports directly.
Looking to see if anyone knows of someone who has the facility to install a T56 in a 99 cobra. I have the T56, T56 mount, clutch with new bolts, aluminum flywheel with new bolts, rear main seal, clutch cable, firewall adjuster and quadrant all from maximum motorsports. I have an OEM Ford pilot...
It's worth it depending on if you can buy a true complete kit. Worst part is having to grind the knock sensor mounts off in the intake valley. I did one and was happy with it. Never had any issues and it made 417/389 rwhp/rwtq at 11.7 AFR, 8#s of boost and 12* timing. Car had mid 400s for hp...
Thank you. I tried him over the summer and he didn't have the courtesy to call back. Seems to be the way it is with most shops now. I got them done though.
If you boosted it and kept it at 8#s you would probably never have an issue if you kept low timing and had a good fuel system. You'd probably spend more trying to make mid 300s NA and this way you'd be in the low 400s for rwhp and high 300-low 400 for rwtq. A eaton swap would get you there...
Thank you. It's never too late for suggestions. It's winter where I live so the car is away for the winter. This would be something I'd get over the winter and install in the spring.
Thank you. I’m always interested in people’s setups. I’d like to run just 1 amp if possible. So with the coaxials out back do you notice any sound quality differences without the rear tweeters?
I was looking at JL amps and the Audio Control ones as well as a couple others. I've had JL stuff years ago and it was good for what I wanted. Never tried their amps though. Thank you for you input. I haven't done an a/m system in about 20 years and I know a lot has changed.
It's definitely a different way of doing a system. I've read up on the mach460 and the way it was designed. The design certainly left me wondering why to a lot of what Ford did with it. I was looking to get a/m speakers, amp, power and ground wire, etc. The mach460 amps and speakers would be...
I still have the mach 460 amp and speakers, but I put in an a/m headunit. It sounds fine with the roof up, but when it's down the sound just isn't there. I'm looking to replace it with some a/m speakers and amp. Problem I'm having is I don't know what RMS power levels to go with. I've seen...
Dez and MPE are still around. I haven't heard anyone talk about Freedman in years and I don't even know if he's still involved with tuning. Sadly Mondo Bob died several years ago. I know people used ABT in Holliston for machine work after Bob died because that's who he used for machine work.
Not anymore. I bought one. Thanks for responding because if I was looking I’d be interested in yours. Hope you’re able to sell it and get what you want for it.
I never had either of those issues when I did mine. I did it on an 01 cobra. I ran the Fore hat with Ford GT pumps, dual FPDMs with the GT500 harness, bigger fuel hose from tank to rail with an SCT BA2600 MAF and 60# injectors. I also used an 03 cobra tank. Could you be maxing out the pumps or...
