I recently bought three carfaxes and only used one before making a vehicle purchase. I have two left over that will expire in roughly 2.5 months. If anyone would want one, I will give you a Paypal address to send a $15 payment. Include the vin# with the payment and I will run it, scan it and...
Is there a way to safely disable boost short of removing the blower belt? I may have to leave the car with a body shop to remove a ding or two and do not want to leave that much HP available. I have a KB 2.8H and I did see somthing in my KB litature related disabling boost using a set screw on...
I drove my new combination on a four hour trip to HorsePower by Herman yesterday and wore a smile all the way back! It was 101* in the shop yesterday and I have a catted exhaust system. It was using 93 octane fuel with some Torco added. I was not thinking it was a day for big power. There...
Running after two years, I was beginning to think it was on permanent display in the garage. Yesterday was a good day for a convertible ride! A few hundred more miles and it is off to see Herman in MD.
I found out that the crossmember on the 03 convertible needs to be modified to use a Canton extra capasity oil pan. The crossmember neeeds to be modified like this:
Installed, it looks like this:
I hope this helps anyone thinking about this pan for their convertible.
I used the search, and did not find an answer. I would like to put 1 3/4" primary long tube headers on my convertible 03 Cobra. SLP requires notching and gusseting the K member on the convertible. I don't want to cut the car unless it is absolutely necessary. Is there a 1 3/4" long tube...
This is a new bolt and washer kit for the 4.6 balancer/dampner. It is reusable (unlike the stock bolt). It is part # 156-2501, and is $24 before shipping from summit. I would take $20 shipped anywhere in the lower 48 states.
Does anyone have the paint code for sonic blue? I am thinking of painting my 66 Buick Gran Sport convertible project this color. It has a dove (off white) interior and a black top. I am torn between sonic blue and vintage metalflake burgundy (a 64 Ford color).
Thanks
Used Steeda/Borla #040-13908 (similar to Borla 14858) stainless steel catback for sale. Functionally perfect with a few muffler case scrapes. Pipes and tips are in excellent condition. Best offer over $300. This is best as a pick-up item, or I can deliver within a reasonable distance from...
I want to order a FR500 catback (M-5230-M58), but I am not sure if the X behind the mufflers will interfere with my Billetflow differential brace. Anyone have, or know of, a Cobra with the brace and a FR500 catback? I just want to be sure before I order.
Thanks
The Steeda is just too loud with my MRT-H and JBA shorties. It sounded great with the stock H and manifolds. This would be just the ticket for someone with a FR500 and stock H wanting a little more sound. The catback works perfectly, and is in very good condition with minimal road rash. I...
The TOB from Centerforce (that looks exactly like the one from Ford and has a BCA #) has a pointed side and is elliptical where it fits in the clutch fork. Does it matter where the point is in relation to the TOB seat in the fork? It can only turn so far before it hits the seat. I have the...
I think my trans leak was related to an undersized yoke. Ford does not sell the yoke seperate, so I am looking for a spicer part number for a yoke that will fit our cobra dirveshaft and stock t-56 transmission.
Thanks
Alignment in Northeast PA?
I am looking for a shop that knows Mustangs and can do a good alignment in northeast PA. I have added CC plates but am still having outside wear on the front tires. The dealer did an alignment before the plates and a local shop did the alignment after, but it is...
The catback is in excellent condition. I want somthing quieter after adding an MRT H-pipe. I thought the sound was great before adding the H. The H is here to stay so the catback must go! I have a Suburban and can transport 100 miles or so from northeast PA.
I took the restrictor out of the hose during the LDC cooling mod installation. Now, I am wondering if I did the right thing. The instructions were neutral on weather to remove it or not. I thought it should be done since it was mentioned at all it. What did the rest of you do and think?
I used the search several ways and did not find anything. Has anyone done a write-up of the transmission removal/clutch replacement procedure including the torque specifications? I am pulling the transmission to send off to Liberty soon, and I will be installing a DFX clutch when it returns...
It looks like my T-56 is about to give up. It has had a rear seal problem almost from day one even before the mods. The dealer was willing to replace the whole transmission for the seal at an early point. The seal has been replaced twice since then, and it was very low on fluid once. It...
I am thinking of sending my T-56 off for upgrades to Liberty or D&D when I replace the clutch this winter. I know I want to have the 26 spline input shaft installed, but what other upgrades are needed to have it live in the 600 rwhp range? sincros, shift forks? I dont want to change the rear...
I am thinking of going to T&T at Island DW on Sunday with new 275/40/17 MT ET drag radials. Can someone please go over the, tire pressure, water box, burn out, and launch specifics?
Thanks
