Speedy Dyno in Owensboro KY did the tune. As for the details all I know is he said it was on the conservative side. It’s always run a little rich. Just recently started having the issue of loss of power and clattering during hard acceleration though.
My brother has a set of supposedly good...
I'm having trouble with a spark knock and loss of power under hard acceleration. Seems to surge a little also. Idles fine and runs good during normal driving. Here's the mods in case you can't see my sig:
1.5 KB (6 psi)
IMRC deletes
42 lb injectors
255 lph fuel pump
NGK TR6 plugs gapped to .035...
Thanks for posting all the great pictures. That yellow SN95 Cobra is awesome. Several from the mustang club I’m in went and said it was a fantastic event. Well organized and lots of activities. I’m planning on going next year.
88 LX, 306, Trick Flow top end kit, Ford Racing Mass Air conversion along with a bunch of other mods. Sold it a few years back. I'll have another convertible someday.
I couldn’t get a picture of the IAT but here’s my throttle cable set up. Basically just fastened to a vacuum line coming off of the intake with a cable tie.
I believe the lightning MAF is 90mm. I’m not sure about the 03-04 Cobra MAF, but on our cars from the factory the IAT is mounted in the air intake between the MAF and the throttle body. The problem with that is it’s not accurately reading the air temp coming out of the blower so when the blower...
Yeah I’m running a Pro-M 80mm MAF. Guy that dyno tuned my car recommended it. Not sure if it was necessary.
I’ve got the IAT sensor mounted to the back side of the lower plenum right under the blower. I’ll look tonight and see if I can see enough of it to get you a picture. I’ll take a picture...
I’ve been running a kb for quite a few years and never had any trouble. Biggest issue with these set ups is the lack of an inter cooler so they heat soak. I would definitely recommend relocating the iat sensor below the blower so it pulls timing when it’s hot. I would also recommend a 255 lph...
Just read through your thread. I really like the ones you’ve bought so far. I’ve got five GMP mustangs in my 1/18 collection that I’ve had for over ten years and they’re definitely my favorite. I had a ground pounder coupe but gave it to a buddy that helped me move when I got divorced in 09...
Went to the NMRA World Finals at Beech Bend Raceway yesterday and had a blast. I’ve been many times over the years and this was definitely one of the best. Great weather and a record turnout for the car show (I believe the number was 376 for the weekend). I come home with the 1st place award in...
