I have had an aluminum driveshaft on my car for 8 years as well without issues.
However they do add NVH. If I had to do it over again I would go carbon fiber.
There's a reason why Ford went with carbon fiber in lieu of aluminum in the previous generation GT500.
9 years on the stock battery and still doing it's job. I've kept it topped up with a 1.5 amp battery tender since day one.
The car is still quick as hell with the stock battery I could stand to lose 20 pounds though.
Like the Mustang was for the MT-82? I have a Nautilus with the 8F57 and a Mustang with a MT-82. They both work well for me.

I don't think the 10R80 was ever intended to be used in a transverse application. The 8F57 is working fine in my Nautilus.
I test drove the Edge ST hoping to trade in my 2016 Sorrento for one but the interior looked dated compared to the Sorento.
I ended up ordering a nicely equipped 2.7...
It was aluminum. I guess the defective CV joint would have transmitted less noise through a carbon fiber tube.
If noise transmission is that high of a priority, I'd stick with the stock drive shaft.
The DSS I bought was noisy immediately upon install. It sounded like the CV came packed with sand. The Shaftmasters that replaced it has been going strong for 4 years.
No problems installing them and they've been working flawlessly for going on 7 years.
Doah! missed the part re. aftermarket hoods. Mine are on a stock hood.
Have you talked to your tuner? That would be my first course of action. I wouldn't rule out a possible issue with the crankshaft position sensor either.
Belt slippage? How many psi at full boost? Have you talked with your tuner or data logged?
I'm running virtually the same setup other than an 82mm pulley and with cats and I'm at just over 600 Hp on 91 octane fuel. Mail order tune by JDM Engineering with one follow up tweak.
Doing a little upgrading to the exhaust system. Car has GT 500 mufflers and factory cats at present.
I ran cat delete pipes a few years back but couldn't handle the smell in the garage. It serves double duty as a party room and workshop (mostly a party room)
I'll try and post a sound clip when...
