Thanks again guys for all the info. I kinda just been driving and not paying attention to the car needs, so now its time to. So thanks, this will get me back up on the know. Got to keep the snake running good. Thanks and y'all have a great car week.
So this subject has lots of info about it, but I don't seem to be finding what I need. '03 Cobra, 2.76 SC pulley, and a tune, no cats. I would like to find a real diagram that list the two belts separately, with locations and labels of the pulley's, to the engine. I would like to have the stock...
Hey, I hadn't thought of that. I just need to stay diligent to stay on point with upgrades and such on the Cobra, thanks man, that's a cool path to take.
Thanks for all you guys for the info. I was afraid everyone would say it is easier to take the engine out. Dont have a place yet, or tools. Working on that now. Thanks again.
WOW thanks to all the answers, it's what I was kinda thinking myself. One last thing. Can the heads be removed with the engine in the car? I've worked on my vehicles before, just never this much stuff to remove to get to the heads to remove. So I am not a top mechanic.
Driving my Cobra to my brother's place about 5 miles away. 3/4 of the way my A/C starts to blow warmer air. I get to my brother's and shut the car off. Later in the day I leave, with the A/C off. About 2 miles away I turn it on, it starts to get cold then stops. At this point I finally think to...
OK, for everyone out there, this is what I found. There is a thing called a "Power Distribution Module." There was a code associated with it. I will try to get that information and post it. It had to do with a comm. error with a BUS. There was also a buzzing sound and no mileage, just dashes on...
OK, rundown: 03 cobra, 60000+ miles. Ran fine up until some months back. Clutch and half shaft replaced. Next, cooling mod and head pipe/hoses replaced. Got car back, don't like the way the clutch is. Brought back had it readjusted, also had Steeda quadrant, new cable, new SS throw-out bearing...
OK, thanks to all who helped with my belt questions sometime back. Next Item: belt tensioners. I guess I ordered the wrong one. so this is what I am looking for: What are the Motorcraft numbers for the inner (primary tensioner -behind the bridge) and what is the number for the outer (secondary...
Not sure if I missed this but, I know there is/was a "green back belt for the supercharger - the outer belt", or secondary drive belt. Factory belts were (Ford 2R3Z-8620-BC) (Motorcraft JK8-755), the stock part numbers. The Gates and others come in many sizes depending on the pulley setup. Now...
thx for the info, I now know what I need to do. Confirming the leak this weekend. My clutch is starting to give me signs of wear, so it looks like I will be changing are those things involved. Thx again.
