Wife wants a late 60's fastback.

This is the entire reason all mustangs for the past 15yrs play off the old ones. For a vehicle she can actually USE, start there. As someone who owns a 1969 vehicle, they are certainly not like todays vehicles and are unforgiving / demanding to drive in most every way. They are also about as...

What do y'all know about the 2001-2007 Ford Escape 2.3L FWD?

So which are the most common bearing failures? Front or rear?

The Complicated Calculus - Selling Your Car For The GT500

Idk what reference 1% is to mustang sales; but ford would be well to do by ditching the POS MT82 to boost some sales. I’ve not known one car locally since 2011 that hasn’t had failures at very low miles. It’s literally what put another friend in a GT350 vs the PP 18 GT with a manual

    Two Cowboys

I thought the rodeo was doing it with the lights off and then your friend walks in and hits the lights and you have to keep trying to ride it?

    Someone followed my daughter home...

Came here just to echo the camera thing. Talk to a couple neighbors. It sounds like you live somewhere nice where they’ll have at least a Ring setup that likely recorded the cars driving past. If not a plate, it’d sure be easier to at least catch a make / model. Imo girls are freaking idiots...

Daigo Saito's C6R FD car on dyno

If you think HKS is junk, well; unfortunately you’re just an idiot. Those guys are pioneers of so much it’s silly.

Convertibles - Anyone else like them?

If it doesn’t have some form of removal roof I don’t own it. Sold every one of my coupe mustangs and regretted selling my Cobra vert. Went from vert to hardtop and the hardtop was replaced in under 6months. The more visceral experience you can get while driving, the better it becomes. 1 targa...

Spy Shots—2020 Ford Escape Caught Virtually Undisguised

No. Every 08-12 escape I looked at had the same issue. I bought the cleanest low mile example I could find to combat it (23k miles CPO) There isn’t even a sealant until the panels first touch on the INSIDE of the quarters. I guess I’ll just have to get pictures on here from another source.

Spy Shots—2020 Ford Escape Caught Virtually Undisguised

There is zero chance I’m doing that JUST for this site. Absurd for 2019 actually.

Apparently iPhone pictures are too large for the server to host

Spy Shots—2020 Ford Escape Caught Virtually Undisguised

Absolutely. I guess it’s not really a pinch weld. The rear fender lips are made up of two layers of steel lapped over each other in parallel. Like this equal sign = except touching. There is a spot weld every 2 inches or so. On the inside seam of this joint Ford runs a 1/4” bead of sealant...

Spy Shots—2020 Ford Escape Caught Virtually Undisguised

Prefer my current 240hp awd variant. I just wish Ford did a better job with the rear quarter panel pinch weld design. It’s been hell to keep it in good shape.

Neighbor Hates Loud Car, Throws Rock Through Window

Only gripe was the constant noting that he was gay and of the ‘LBGT’ community. Is it a hate crime or an asshole neighbor? Your choices don’t make you special, just like skin color. Kinda rubs me the wrong way.

    Pile On Fram

Would like to see the higher tier Bosch and Purolator as well. Fram should be embarrassed

    Senna

I really like those; but that color scheme...idk. Not feeling it at all.

What is your daily beater? Do you enjoy it?

I feel like ‘beater’ is getting confused with ‘daily driver’. I have a DD and I have a ‘beater’, and I have ‘toys’. Maybe the beater falls closer to another toy, but it doesn’t really get treated like one; whereas we generally try not to kill our DD and have reservations on potential write off...

Kid drag racing Mustang kills mother, toddler not expected to live

I’ve read the story. It was a car full of drunk blacks flying down a highway with no headlights on.

Im pretty sure just because your actions didn’t have the same consequence, doesn’t mean you haven’t had like actions.

    RIP NCHP Trooper Bullard.

Really sucks the guy crashed and died. I guess charging the perp with his death makes sense; but it never really sat right with me. It’s almost like it should be involuntary manslaughter. Like the guy can be a turd without being a murderer. You make a dumb choice to run, flighty when young and...

Vehicles you owned or drove that pleasantly surprised you...

This. A C-street NB Miata is my current summer daily. I used to poke fun at Miatas all the time, wrote them off etc. I finally decided to buy a cheap NA as I missed having a roadster while owning my blown 3v GT. Needless to say I feel in love. Definitely the most pleasant surprise to me car...

    Have $700k under your mattress?

They do. It’s called a Miata. I have a gorgeous c3 and a c5. 90% of my fun driving is done in the little mx5. The new ones run like old Lt1 cars. Probably one of the last true sports cars.
