I have both and it depends on the type of car your prefer. My O3 has a lot of money and various suspension options (now has KW coil overs) over the years to try and get it right
And despite my best efforts , is just ok IMO. It is an unrefined old school muscle car with the great low end torque...
I could'nt agree with you more. The whole driving experience is just less involved. I think Mfgr's full throttle shifting and rev matching manuals are almost as bad.
I'm old school though...learned to drive on a manual and all 6 cars/trucks I have bought over the years that I drive are manuals.
is there a way to replace the rear diff bushings without having to remove
halfshafts, control arms etc...? I hate to have to do this as I have
never removed halfshafts and do not have the patience seeing as
my car has been on jacks for 4 months doing bushings and c/o's
as time allows.
Can...
anyone thought of putting the ford GT wheels on our cars.
The rears are 19x11.5 with ~7.3 BS. With a 1" spacer maybe they
work (our stocks are ~6.12" BS). I know they are expensive....but
an 11.5" wheel & forged..it would be nice.
I recall the previous version of the whipple was 50 state legal (maybe I my
memory is incorrect). I'm thinking the new version is not as FR's
webpage says it's not legal for sale on smog controller vehicles.
Anyone know if there are plans to legalize it or are we SOL in Cali?

as the title says....now I scrape mufflers all the time on
speed bumps and even irregularities in the road (bunched-up
pavement from wear) . Is there a ready to purchase EXHAUST
option to better tuck mufflers up into the car? BTW I have
a bassani CB. If there are no off the shelf options...
I did a no-no & tried the hammer method to try to remove one of the
rear tie rods from the spindle assy (I rented a puller but it was too small).
Does anyone know the threads on the tie rod (it's the one with the hole in it
for a cotter pin & attaches the rear "spindle" to the tie rod)...
I tried calling them 317-247-5320 (on web page) & number is
disconnected. I mailed them a part return a month ago & have
not seen the $. Anyone know the deal or another contact #?
anyone go from KB spirngs to MM coilovers in a vert?
I just put on the front KB springs and I must admit I do not
like the harshness of the ride. I get beat up pretty good on bad roads.
This is magnified by the fact that I have a vert (w/FLSFS).
I want some of you vert guys that went from...
Hey Larry & Dan,
thanks for the recommendation. Took the car over
Friday and had the MM FLSFC's put on. He
did great work! BTW he has a mustang performance
shop that he started with his brother.
Great guy and he does great work, not always the case
these days!
has anyone had any experience with these with a convertible?
I want to do the SVTOA events and I rarely go to the strip.
I like the idea of being able to remove it when I want to
(vs. not be able to with welded in versions) and not having to pay an welder.
your thoughts are appreciated
In researching different options for STB's for the cobra, I saw
this one. To me stiffeners connecting to just behind the
headlights adds very little stiffness vs. most that, mount to
the firewall. Why do we care if the headlights/front clip are
moving relative to the strut towers? What we...
I bought some AFS wheels thru them about 5 mos ago...& one of the wheels
has the chrome flaking off of the around the center cap. I have not
damaged the wheel or anything & asked for a replacement...here was
their reply:
" I'm sorry, unfortunately all items are sold as is as stated in...
I want to upgrade my front brakes.
i was leaning towards the brembo "r" kit. Does it clear our 17" 03 wheels?
If I wanted to go to a bigger rotor than the R's size say a 14" but use the
R calipers, are there caliper relocation kits to do this? Who makes them & will they fit inside 18"...
on my way home Friday, I passed an accident where a beautiful
60's era olive green fastback (may have been a shelby) that
just got rear ended....man I hate seeing that.
Ok guys,
I had my drive shaft replaced this week (with a new ford part #)
and the vibe is still there at ~ 61MPH. I have previosly replaced the
rear pumpkin assy due to the pop. I even had a whole new crate
motor installed after 4 mos of owning it for the tick (& you wonder
why I...
I installed my new toyo/AFS combo (18x9 275/35 & 18x10.5 w/295/35)
& found that the driver's side rear tire hits the IRS bolt. I ordered 1/4" MM spacers
as it looks like that's all I need. I will let you all know if it fixes the problem.
I only mention this because some on SVT got away...
just won a bid on 2-18x9's & 2-18x10.5's afs's  .
I called steeda about the lower profile screws for our rear suspensions.
they only sell the whole kit not just the screws.
Is this an easy job to do...replacing & installing the rear subframe bushings & bolts?

Will the 2000 cobra R springs lower our cars at all?
I have a vert, what are the spring rates for the R springs verses our spring rates?
Will our stock blisteins work with the R?
Will the stiffer springs wear out the shocks much quicker?
Anyone running the cobra R springs on a vert...
