+1 to what everyone has said above.
Also budget some money to have PPF applied over the lenses. That will keep the plastic/clear on the aftermarket lenses (usually a lower quality) looking new.
Scott and Joe ran Mile Hi Dyno. Did the original mods to my 2003 Redfire (pulley, tune, etc.) basically 20 years ago... Was a fun time back then! I remember riding in that car when it was making 700 or so and thinking it was the fastest thing on the planet (that was off nitrous too) - how times...
Reach out to ISON Hyrdographics in Arvada Colorado. They did my interior pieces on my 03 in a matte carbon, including that same gauge pod. Had them do intake tubes and manifold covers on my GT-R as well.
Their process is great, its very realistic looking (not like a 90s dash kit like a lot of...
Anxiously awaiting! This is one of the only threads I follow. Bought a nice low mileage 2005 mystichrome and will be copying a lot of the things you’ve done with yours!
Dont forget tires, probably more important than most of the other items.
Several options for coilovers that you dont have to do all the other stuff with that will get you 80+% of the same benefit. MM is a good choice though.
Also, dont think you need coilovers for good handling, a good shock...
Congrats on the new purchase! My suggestion would be to get it to a dyno in your area and check the tune and make sure its safe before beating on it too much. Either chose a shop that is capable/qualified tuning the cobra or book an appointment with a qualified remote tuner.
Cars are getting...
Paint it... but only do it for your enjoyment and not any other reason. Your car is not going to be worth less because of it. Especially if its well documented, done well and by a competent shop.
I would argue you are better off doing it now than waiting before a sale too. When purchasing I'd...
Unfortunately I "purchased" parts/labor a couple days before this thread started. Recovering my money wasn't an option at that point and it became more and more obvious what a scumbag heis.
Is there a reason no one has moved on to small claims court or anything with him?
The rules for MA seem...
A set of calipers and some other misc. stuff that has never shown up. Excuse after excuse and still nothing.
None of his “custom” stuff like headlights or those caliper brackets thankfully.
Unfortunately the police department in his area isn’t much help either.
Bumping this thread and adding myself to the scammed list by this dumb***. Wish I had seen this thread and that it existed earlier so a quick search would of resulted in knowing what a piece of shit this guy is.
If anyone has suggestions on successfully winning a Zelle dispute or ways to make...
Great plate on a great car! Any plans to go the the GT Rally end of October? I missed the opening slots.
Glad to see so many old members on the forum still commenting too! Hard to believe its almost been 20 years in this community!
Really nice comparison! I did the same thing on mine, it makes all the difference.
Don't overlook the McLeod RXT - the twin disc is holding up great in my car (800whp corrected and R888R). No chatter, easy to shift and light pedal effort (especially compared to OE). I was honestly dreading it...
Keep the thread updated on if it sells... it not selling is probably the motivation I need to finally make you an offer.
Would match my 2003 redfire cobra in the garage perfectly. 1993/2003/2013 in the garage.
Looking great! Did you have to do any finishing of the K-member like you did on the IRS cradle? Are you going to refinish the control arms, etc. to match what was done on the rear?
Been following your thread since it started! I will be doing the same project this summer as well on my Redfin's. Was even planning on doing the same things (cleaning, painting, etc.). Keep up the good work!
