As I read the law correctly under the FDIC regulations if your wife is a beneficiary that also raises your coverage to 500 K. I have dealt with the none of these d*** banks to realize that each have their own particular rules in adding to or. Removing money the sole exception that I have found...
CFG and VIO (midwestern bank) 4.8% and 4.5% but each has their quirks...I am still waiting on CD to be approved at 5+% and I am hacked. VIO has good rates but you can only transfer out a certain amount per day/month.
I still use Vio but I do all my transfers through ALLY--I'll just go on...
A little off topic but after all the talk about banks & where to go. I Admit I'll have been just a bit tardy in transferring funds. thinking about the FDIC limit. Is 250 K but in calling my bank they pointed me to fdic.gov And straight from this page govt I found that if you have beneficiaries...
I purposely have cash at a brick and mortar local bank in case I need quick cash....Of all the banks I've dealt with Ally has had the best customer service. I get the feeling CFG is going to be a pain in the butt.
Three hours after I submitted an APPLICATION..CFG raised their CD to 5.13.!!!II will revoke my application monday if the don't match new offer..I will notiify Ally to cancel my transfer.
Spent the day looking for banks with decent interest rate in order to spread funds. Found Ufb direct But it is california bank. Does anyone have any ideas on a good safe bank with decent interest rates?.
I just loved my G70 3.3 but had to get a GV70 due to injuries. But I just got my GV70 serviced yesterday only to find the damn dealership MOVED to South Carolina....I am told as of Jan 1, Hyundai cannot service a Genesis as it must be done a Genesis dealer. To all those who have a good...
Funny you should mention the loose shifting!!! My GV70 has that issue but I have only 2000 miles, city driving. I did notice hi-octane gas gave me better miles per gallon...Car goes in for oil change and maintenance, and I will bring that up.
I had a G70 and loved it but due to a fall off my roof, I could no longer get in/out of the car. The lack of trunk space was an issue so I traded it in on a GV70. Metallic Black.... I love the quality but my dealership- not so much. Genesis of America told me they are headed for separate...
Put subs under a time and quality contract AND make them post a bond. Subs won't have crap to sue...just go to your county courthouse and see how many liens are filed against the subs- that will tell you something about them
I like the 4.5% CDs but the penalty for early withdrawal is very high. Are not CD's insured for a max of 250k? Since a savings account is only insured for 250k, Some have to have multiple banks. So far I have several accounts but I don't know any way around it. Any ideas? BTW, interest...
I don't think I'll move to CDs-yet- as when mine came due from Ally, I moved to Vio. Bank and they pay 3.58%. Liquidity in this market is safer for me. I would not go for anything longer than 12 month CD
I bought a Genesis GV70 in Savannah and I have to call Genesis of America (corporate office) file a complaint---and they call my dealership- otherwise I never hear from them.
I sleep on a Boyd soft side semi waveless waterbed....I used a waterbed of types since 1982. filling and unfilling is a pain in the butt but nothing is more comfortable for me.
