was thinking about your analogy of silver futures/etf to a bitcoin futures/etf.
Given the ease of Bitcoin holding/storing/moving...and the difficulty of metal holding/storing/moving...perhaps the latter is the main reason paper versions were necessary?

my daughter bought $50 worth when it was $6k btc in 2017, and another $50 when it was $28k on the big dip in june....she wants to cash out when it's worth $1k...I told her to never sell it, but that I would give her a loan based on her BTC balance.
You'd have to explain a little more for me b/c right now, the Silver ETF that holds like 85-90%% market share, is the physically backed SLV ETF. So i'm not sure how this is a concern yet i guess.
EDIT: I can't even find a paper backed Silver ETF at the moment.
