  • As far as mine, I'll be installing a set of comp cams and a few more bolt ons here in the next month or so. Hoping to break the n/a record over on the corral.net. I'll probably have it tuned on E-85 just to squeeze out every last hp out of it in n/a form. I have a vortech V1 I'll be installing on it for TX2K in march also. I'm collecting parts to build a forged teksid block and throw a turbo at it. Looking for 550-600hp, not too much.
What motor do you have in your car right now? B head 4V or C head 4V? For 700hp I would either go with a On3Performance turbo kit (forward facing headers) and go with at least a 76mm turbo. Precision Turbos are good, a little pricey but you won't have to worry about it crapping out in 3k miles. The block you will have to build to hold 800-900hp so the engine can live a long time. You won't really have to spend any money on having the heads ported if you have B heads. I would just install new springs on the heads and if you have enough money get some turbo cams. I would probably go with MMR only because they seem to have a good warranty. As far as fuel for 700hp you will need to upgrade the fuel rails, stock ones won't support anything over 600. injectors will have to be either 60's or 80's, as far as fuel pump it depends on if you have a 98 or 96-97 car. Transmission won't hold long at 700hp either so you'll have to think about having it built to hold.
Thanks a lot, I'm glad you like the car. Hopefully you'll like it even more here in a few months. Going to be doing some changes to it both in and out.
