Hear me out:
1. Michigan wins the B1G (undefeated)
2. FSU wins the ACC (undefeated)
3. PAC 12 winner is in, as it will either be an undefeated Washington or a 1-loss Oregon conference champ that is laying waste to every team it faces
4. Texas finishes with 1 loss and wins the B12

Bama beats UGA in the SEC title game. Would this mean that the SEC gets left out of the playoff? That would be glorious and I'd have to track down FoeHammer wherever the hell he is. LOL Texas would be in at the 4 seed because they beat Bama head to head.

Just backing your assertion on why it matters to the pollsters and also why that 29th win happened the way it did. We’ll see how much that plays into final rankings win or lose for several teams. Those who show up every time they play in the CFP seem to get benefit of the doubt in the back of the voters minds.

Agreed, and the GT game will have no effect on UGA's votes.

I've had this conversation a few times. Something tells me the committee wouldn't have the balls to leave Bama out, even though they should.

What about this scenario, assuming the CFP playoff poll follows the AP and Coaches poll:

Georgia
Michigan
Washington
FSU
Oregon
OSU
Texas
Bama

Georgia, Michigan and Washington all handle business. FSU loses to Louisville and Texas loses to Ok State. Who gets that number 4 spot....

But Texas beat Bama in Tuscaloosa head to head! I would lose my mind if they chose Bama over Texas. LOL

In your proposed scenario, Oregon, Texas and Bama would all have 2 losses. That means it would be between FSU and OSU, and OSU would get it. Texas isn't losing to OKST though...

The way the committee has a perpetual erection for anything SEC is disturbing and I'd sooner lean towards a quality, well deserving non sec team being shafted than Alabama or Georgia.

In that span of time I went thru a divorce, its been a blur man.

I hear you. I got married in September of 2016, filed for divorce in May of 2017, found out she was pregnant June of 2017 (we had sex like 6 times in 8 months...so miracle it even happened), kiddo was born February 2018, divorce finalized in September of 2018.

Remarried to my high school sweetheart in May of 2019. Life's been pretty good since then haha

I was taught a very early age to never judge people. Some of the best people I surround myself with come from all differnt walks in life.....color, race, religion and financial status . I can see we all dont have quality core values in this thread. SAD!
Not judging people is one thing. Being made a fool is another. Ideally, we shouldn't judge people, but reality isn't normally ideal.

How far does Alabama fall with a loss? Texas? Will a loss drop Oregon out of the top 10? How about FSU? If any of the underdogs win it will cause chaos.

Total chaos!! I dont think anyone has a free ticket to the main event.....Mich and FSU probably have the easier games IMO
