Currently have some single-wall ones where the driver side "rod" keeps coming loose inside it's "holder", the little bolts to secure the rod were missing so I've had it welded multiple times but they keep breaking..

Fed up & looking to replace these with some stainless steel double-wall/rolled edge ones

The tricky part is these tips need to be at least 15" long so they can reach the rear bumper cover edge, as you all know these cars(98 cobra) have the last hanger just before the bumper cover

-Where did you buy yours?
-The rod that sits in the rubber hanger doesn't seem to come with new tips(?)

Looking for 2.5" inlet/ 3.5" outlet

I think Magnaflow makes some
The ones on the car are single-wall magnaflows right now. I think I'm more shocked at how relatively scarce tip options are in 2023.. although I did see one with LED's in it.. Lol?

Now I'm curious what length tip everyone is running on their 96-98's

Mostly just the tailpipes that come with a cat back kit.
Not many people add tips. I feel like that was something that faded out in the 90s-00s

Manufacturers like Borla and Stainless Works offer a lot of tips available separately. I do have some new/unused extras from catbacks and tips I’ve bought for projects I ended up not using. If interested in any of these Borla or Stainless Works tips, let me know as I’d sell at discount over buying new. Have pair avail of each style.

The Borla and SW single tips are 3” ID so would slide over 3” tailpipes. The dual Borlas have 2.5” ID inlet.

Regarding the hanger, you only need to bolt on ‘94-7 hangers/isolators if you’d rather weld the exhaust hanger further from the tips.

The ‘95-8 Saleen tailpipes are my favorite for our cars. Problem is they’re long obsolete (expensive) and a pain to accurately replicate.

Head over to a decent exhaust shop. They should have a variety of tips. I always liked the look of the polished pipe from the side on the 94-98 bumpers. I hated how Borla had the tailpipe and then the fat tip at the end on their kits.

For what you're wanting a polished stainless tailpipe might be your best bet.
