C8 Z06 vs GT500

And if u wanna wait in line and order one (if they are still taking orders)... u can get a 2lz coupe (with the decent bose audio system and cameras front and rear)... for 118K. The cameras are (IMHO) needed to be able to back the damn thing up(visibility is an issue). the 2lz would make it perfectly livable... heated/cooled seats/better stereo/the cameras.. etc.... The z07 package is 9K.
gt500 all day long considering it's half price with adm...and from a roll on the street (which is where any street race will happen) the gt500 will slowly walk it.
Don't they have the same dct? It seems to allow the z to launch a lot better.
the midengine layout of the vette allows it to launch very hard.,
If the C8Z came in a manual, that would've been ****ing sick!
LOL, maybe after a couple miles of WOT. That GT500 got destroyed at everything besides trunk cargo capacity.
More C8 variants are coming.......... but really... who cares, cant go wrong either way. Both the gt500 and z06 are great cars. These are wonderful times to be a car guy. MY ONLY complaint about my 2014 coyote was that it had very little torque below 3000 rpms. Im REALLY enjoying this 6.2 liter motor on this c8.

The last ~35 years were pretty damn good to grow up being a car guy.
Now? Going downhill for sure.
That Vette is nasty. Can’t wait for the next two powerhouses to arrive.

The Shelby is too big and bulky. Like all Mustangs the last decade and a half.
I will say... my mustang was more comfy than this vette tho..... SOOO... there IS THAT. Dont discount that. This C8 never lets u forget EXACTLY what it is., A trunk/ a roomy interior and plenty of legroom was nice in my mustang.,

I'd skip the ZO7 package.... I didn't get the high wing due to constraints....

No, just the peasant Z51 LT2 model
