Yes over $7.50 an it is depression time no other way as they said $5 was the tipping point on the economy being able to function before the D word would happen as anything more and people couldn't afford to do anything or do anything and that included their jobs and so fund these idiots in Washington DC.

It is almost like the Dems want to destroy the country and their party and just decided to go to warp speed in order to do it.

I am calling it now if Gas does go past $7.50 it'll be 20 years before another Dem sees the White House that is if they actually do the right thing and purge their party of all hard leftest, Commies and Socialist

Bet you $100 Dems hold power next cycle.

Though it will probably be short lived. Wholesale Gas/Diesel dropped 50cents it two days. Which traditionally is massive, but the market has been volatile, even so, a big swing.

Guess that’s what happens when you sign back up with a country that’s been sanctioned. Biden manages to help everyone but the US. Truly unbelievable.

You'd have to be flirting with the poverty line already for $5/gallon gas makes it so you can't afford to get to work. Most average people should be able to absorb that increase without too much issue.

Doesn't make it right to allow prices to get that high, I just don't buy that $5 a gallon stops people from getting to work.

I’m far from the poverty line and $5 a gallon won’t stop me from going to work but me and my wife average 3-4 days per fill up due to our commutes so every increase does sting quite a bit. Add on top it’s a 20 minute drive to get into town for us so yeah the prices hurt. But more so it’s the cost of diesel doing the most damage, product cost of literally everything is increasing every time fuel goes up.

Won’t be long before amazon starts to run out of truck drivers, they have drastically cut driver rates while owner operators have had to bear this fuel increase. My father in law owns a truck and used to run for them but got cut from something like $4 a mile to under $2, and it costs him around $1800 to fill his truck.

Prices went up .10 since yesterday. Costco and BJ's are both $4.89 for Premium. By next week, they'll cross over the $5.00 mark. Meanwhile, it's predicted that by August we'll be over $6.00 for Premium.

I commute 100 miles a day for work, 5 days a week. At 20 MPG I use 5 gallons a day, so about $22 a day right now. That equates to about $5800 per year, just in commuting fuel. If that doubles, might be time for an EV, or a serious talk with the directors about having some work from home days.

I’ll take 100 on midterms.

Let’s talk about terms.

Winning party has both house and senate?

I really don’t gamble and have no idea what will happen, but I’ll throw $100 bucks away in hopes these *** loving Dems go down.

Going from 3.50 to 5.60 increases my fuel costs by over $200 a month. Some people don't have that in their budget.

Not to mention $7 to 9 for diesel and everything goes up another 4-6% inflation in price so there is also that. Again I hope all 81 million that wanted this brain dead reject got what they wanted and then some more.

Not arguing at all about price increases on consumer goods due to rising fuel costs. My only contention was gas prices doubling shouldn't be the reason people can't get to work except in the extreme cases of people living under the poverty line.

I don't think it is a secret that most people are horrible when it comes to budgeting. There are plenty of luxury things that can be cut out to absorb the extra fuel costs to still be able to make it to work except, again, when speaking about the extreme cases of being below the poverty line.

To be clear, I am 100% in agreement that fuel prices are way out of hand and I'm tired of it just like the rest of America. Basically I was only calling out the extreme "the sky is falling" case of gas prices making it so people can't afford to drive to work. If someone quits their job because of gas prices they were probably just looking for a way to be able to quit and claim to be a victim in the process. Just my .02
