About to retune my car in boost with Lund. Got this low mile kit with a 3.375 pulley. What boost should I see? Any input in pulleys with my setup? Did a few 3rd gear logs and Lunds tuner says it’s happy and can take more boost. Question how much?
Gen 1 low mile truck motor. Mustang cams. All opg sprockets. Full Fore dual pump fuel system. DW95s. JLT big. Full exhaust. Magnum T56 with spec 3+. Tuning in E85. Not looking to put it on kill and make a bunch a heat. Hopefully make 650-700 at the wheels. I was thinking 3.0 or 3.1 pulley. Also anyone got one for sale?
Thanks

I have pretty much the exact setup. I'm pretty close to sea level as well.

-2.3 Whipple w/ 3.375" pulley - makes about 9psi (see numbers in sig)
-Stock intake
-Borla Exhaust (stock headers, JPC over-axle pipes, Boss 302 Side Exhaust)
-91 octane (California problems)

It's going back to Shaun @ AED this month for a re-tune.
-VMP 69mm TB
-1050x injectors
-JMS Powermax
-Whipple 3.00" Pulley
-E85

I imagine you'll be close to making 650, but it's hard to speculate. 3.00" will easily get you there. I'll follow up in about two weeks with some new numbers.

I have the FRPP/Whipple 624 hp kit on a 2014 GT. It came with the 3.375 upper and was supposed to make 9 psi with that pulley. (@ sea level)

I'm over 2100 ft elevation here and lost a couple psi of boost. To make it up I swapped to the 3.125 dia. and now make around 9 max in cold air.

The pulley direct from Whipple was a slightly different offset from the one supplied with the FRPP kit. That shredded a belt.

Called Whipple and they knew exactly what I was talking about. They sent me the proper shim to align the pulley.

So, if it's the same kit I have definitely check pulley alignment if you change sizes.

Great. Thanks. Yeah I talked to them and they told me about the spacer.

Switched a few things up as I mentioned before.

New dyno numbers were 677rwhp/602rwtq @ 12 psi (3.00” pulley) & E85.

Still had plenty of fuel left to go with another smaller pulley, but I think I’m pretty close to the max of pushing this Gen1 coyote motor. I’m pretty happy.

For a bit of history at AED
-404/403 w/ Tune&Exhaust
-554/495 w/ pump gas 91 & Whipple 3.375” pulley
-677/602 w/ E85 & 3.00” pulley.

She rips.

Awesome. Thanks for the update. Should last forever at those levels. Got my griptec 3.1 today. Feels great. Probably do a few more pulls for Lund and revise tune. Maybe put in dyne in a few weeks. Keep you posted. Thanks
