Small world! So it was Hermann's. I haven't talked to him in too many years. I hope he is still tuning because he was one of the great ones. Back then, he was the only tuner I knew who tuned on the road. No dyno. Great guy.
Really really nice guy. He painted this car 13-14 years ago and started a build on it and then tucked it in the corner of his shop and never touched again. It’s darn near perfect. I think he’s started doing mostly work with Acura NSX’s now.Yeah, is Herman still around? I heard he was extremely good.
Y’all have a lot going on in that shop.
Been slammed since the day I opened. Very blessed. And that’s just one side. Have another 3000 feet on the chassis side that’s full too View attachment 1739252View attachment 1739253

I have a team of 5 techs/fabricators doing everything from full builds, to turbo fab to custom bent cages, you name it. Finally have everything I need in one spot to turn creativity into realitydamn, how many guys you got working there? Impressive stuff

Looks like all Ford stuff and I think I see a chevelle on the lift in the back.
I’m guessing that’s by choice? Seems too lopsided to be random.

I'm happy to see a car NUT, like myself crazy in all aspects, doing what they absolutely love to do. I always said that if you didn't have a shop you should. Being roughly 3 hours away, I'd love to swing by with a couple of my racing friends and check it out at some point. Hell, how far is the shop from Woodward?I have a team of 5 techs/fabricators doing everything from full builds, to turbo fab to custom bent cages, you name it. Couple more looks at it. It’s a much truer blue than Sonic View attachment 1739246View attachment 1739247View attachment 1739248
Does it have an auto transmission? I remember way back that Hermann told me that his Cobra was the first to get an auto transplant. Possible that he owned an earlier Cobra before buying the one that you now have.Really really nice guy. I never even knew you had your own shop. That's an impressive setup you have, as are the services you provide. I wish you the best!!I have a team of 5 techs/fabricators doing everything from full builds, to turbo fab to custom bent cages, you name it. It sure does, Paul. A clean auto shop is kind of a rarity. The shops look sooo clean too
Sonic Blue definitely has purple hues. I remember how good Sonic Blue looks under parking lot lights. A friend had one back in the day and the paint always impressed me. Sonic Blue still does.definitely. i love my sb, but it i has too much purple to be a true blue

Damn. I was really hoping he was still tuning in the Mustang scene. He was the only guy I ever let tune my Cobra. Car has been down for 13 years but is in the process of going back together and was hoping to get in touch with him for the tuning.Really really nice guy.
