In this retarded market I can't even venture to guess what some dumdum will pay for this.

As for the 300ci, yes it was a great motor, you could pour pee and sand in the gas tank and fill the crankcase with peanut butter and it would still do 300k, rattling and tapping the whole way. But they were dog shit slow and tbh almost as overrated as the 7.3 PSD. The one to have was a 87-91 F-150 4x4 RC SB with the 5-spd, they had the FI H.O version with 150 hp. You could also get it in an F-250.

And x3 on the mid 90's Honda. I had a '97 Accord LX wagon with the 5-spd in that hideous medium green that I beat the hell out of daily. I would love to have that one back.

You guys have me looking on BAT now.

I have a nice 94 Toyota pickup that was my dads I say I will keep forever.
I call it my barn beast and it’s in great shape with no rust.

Seeing what they are bringing on BAT make me scratch my head a little lol.

Makes me wonder what my 8,000 mile 2001 Dodge "off road" with the 360 cu would bring with only the oil and battery not being original.

Here/there/some other silly place
Used car prices and what they are going for is just crazy.

I only paid a little over $32,000 for my SS back in Feb 2019 I was just offered $39,000 for it and I put almost 12,000 more miles on it in that time. had 24,212 miles now 36,075

They are not over rated if you manage your expectations. Slow, sure, but torquey as hell and never really feel slow UNLESS you are trying to pass in the fast lane on the highway at 85 mph.

Otherwise... great engine!

Totally agree on the FI version!! Buddy has one that i want very badly.

Loved the 96 F150 when i came out...then i drove one and hated it lol

I will one day find a late 80s 150 with a 351w, standard cab shortbox to put in my garage

A V-6? Hard pass

I can hardly ever recall seeing full size, 4x4 pickups with a V6. That makes it more rare but not more desirable.

The 4.6 was hardly adequate in those trucks in 4x4 configuration, that truck would struggle to pull 3000 lbs up a hill.

I did not know this configuration existed. I thought the 4.6 was the base engine in these.

I hated the design as much as ford CFI. Honestly i loved the Ford EFI setup. Never understood why GM choose not to use it in the trucks for so many years.

Totally agree... simple and cheap is my guess.
