Not sure where to look with so many different forums. But, at age 73, I have purchased a 1998 Mustang Cobra SVT to play with. I purchased from Ebay, it had sat for 12 years and do believe that from when the car was delivered not knowing if I should use a shovel or rake to clean it out. I am not a mechanic, always have had the stiffest white collar jobs, although in my early teens picked up some things working at a gas station.
To make a long story shorter and after a $1000 in parts and almost $3000 in labor I am getting closer to the end. I am missing two speaker covers one on each side of back seat, in the side panel. Any ideas on how to cover to make it look good? Some kind of speaker cover I am not thinking of. Also, I have replaced the suspension, thanks to one of the members of this outlet of forums. I have also replaced the breaks and calipers. Shocks and coils. It had a diagnostic, new plugs and I have installed two coil packs and performance wires, but still lacks power and stutters a bit going up into higher speeds. If everything else has been done, but had not changed the gasoline filter, could this be the culprit, maybe starving on gas? Any idea would be welcomed very much.
I am motivated as I am getting a lot of attention and comments, how much would you sell for, so the work I have done is paying off. Thank you for any suggestions, oh it seems everyone asked me this question, the rims are of 2010 Cobra model They are new and staggered with Michelin Pilot all weather.
‘’Sorry for long dialog, but i am becoming proud of the car, I purchased it to be wife’s car, as she does not like the 500SL and have had Mustangs her entire life…….
Quickly becoming a prized mechanic,
