Hello. New to the terminator world, not new to the car scene. I’ve had foxbodies, camaros, grand nationals, etc. I purchased a 2003 terminator and absolutely love the car. The fact that its numbered makes it that much more special. I wanted to ask you guys what you see happening with our cars and/or cars in general. My intentions here are to create a discussion on the topic. If you feel its been beat up, I apologize in advance and mods, feel free to delete. Recent sales is the reason i decided to post this. I also see comments on convertibles being less desireable. I guess that could be true but its cool putting the top down on a beautiful day. Just my opinion i guess. Lastly, if you could put “fair” market prices on our cars, what would they be? Hopefully we can make this a fun topic and not get carried away. Thank you in advance.
Pictured is my car. 2003 vert, satin silver, 8350 miles.

I have no idea what the market will do. I bought my 03 back in 2010. And the fact that I just bought a 93 mustang hatch reef blue for quite a bit more money than what I paid for my 03 cobra is kinda depressing.

But I've always been a foxbody guy. I do hope the 03-04 cobra keeps going up in value. Although my car is far from stock. This reminds me that I should up the agreed value on my cobra. I think I only have it at 35k. I need to up it to 40k.

Nice vert BTW! And welcome to the terminator club!

Used cars are selling for 67% higher than last year at this time. Used cars out performed the NASDAQ... the S&P500... and even BITCOIN!!!

Let that sink in... used cars out performed Bitcoin.

It's a once in a lifetime situation that will resolve itself sooner rather than later.
It will be very similar to the housing collapse of 2008... people will be underwater on their loans and walk... that's how the snowball starts rolling.

And just like 2008... a decade or so from now collector cars and valuable models will slowly claw their way back to this year's value.. maybe.

Interesting.

Good thing I'm not selling any. Maybe I can find an affordable foxbody GT 4-5 years from now.

i was going to say, if you think this has a ten year cycle, then we've already been in it for 3 years or so..

I bought my terminator back in 13. I paid a little more for two reasons one the comp Orange tax two dealer. I don’t regret it one bit. It has crossed my mind to sell in the past two years for two reasons one to try a Shelby, two values are thru the roof. That said I know if I sell my likes of finding another CO or clean terminator for that matter will be harder. So I’m going to hold onto mine.

@dragrazor, you might want to browse through my Terminator FAQs. You'll find a lot of very good info on the 2003-2004 Cobra.

You bought a very nice silver Cobra convertible. And talk about low mileage!! Congrats!

Yep, a few of us were following that one. I believe a 2003 highly modded black Cobra just sold in the Market forum for $39,500.

For me it is an age thing - let's just say I am at that retirement point. I have had fun replacing the hydroboost, the inner belt, the supercharger snout seal, and now I am going to do the clutch (fun?). I don't have the time or desire to do that kind of work any longer. I might get a F-150, but it is going to be an automatic for sure.
