Last of my stupid questions so bare with me!

Bone stock 03 cobra, no tune.. if I replace the fuel pumps do I need to tune the car? I really don’t want to tune the car so trying to look for a alternative to stay on the factory tune but replace the pumps.

Is there a sensor that even with bigger pumps, registers the LPH and will adjust output accordingly?

Reading a couple places i may still be able to purchase the OEM Bosch pumps individually then install into the stock assembly, I just don’t want to do that.. then on the stock tune something doesn’t register the same and lean out the car. Thanks for any clarification, input, or advice.

Main goal is to stay on factory tune and just replace the fuel pumps.

I'm about to replace mine with the deatschwerks 340s supposed to be a stock replacement. No tune revision, I do have a gauge to monitor fuel pressures though.

I guess I’m spoiled with the newer mustangs without having to figure all of this out. Who would of thought something as simple as trying to replace the OEM fuel pumps would be so complicated lol I definitely have a lot of learn

The computer adjusts fuel pump RPM based on pressure readings at the fuel rail pressure sensor. So theoretically, any pump with similar specs to stock should work. Beware though that most aftermarket pumps are not designed to work with returnless (stock) fuel systems and can have issues. The OEM Bosch pumps are probably your best bet if you can get them.

Any fuel pump that is not a stock replacement will need to be adjusted for in the tune under the fuel pump voltage tables. If you plan on keeping the factory tune, then I suggest going with factory replacement pumps only.
