Got an email from Shelby for the 2020 KR.

Was kind of interesting until I saw that it voided all the power train warranty and that they would "ship back carbon fiber wheels at owners expense."

I'm sure someone out there will do this... but I can't for the life of me figure out why.

Why would you swap carbon fiber wheels for aluminum?

Why would you risk putting your 100k car's powertrain warranty in jeopordy?

Why would you pay 55k on top of the price of a 2020 GT500?

Again I know some people will do it... I guess I just don't get it.

The 2008 - 2009 KR was fully warrantied I believe, but maybe I'm wrong about that?

People did it all day every day for the Super Snakes and Shelby 1000 cars.

I used to buy up pallets of the takeoff parts for pennies on the dollar.

Yeah, Shelby previously announcement that on December 15th something special was coming. There was a lot of speculation what that would end up being.

Who doesn't want a $200k+ GT500?!

edit: I misread it. I thought the up-fitters package started at $127k and didn't include a car. My bad.

I'm curious in what universe does record sales and an expanding lineup constitute ruined?
He's not wrong, for the money Fathouse is putting out a better quality and better performing product. Most are going w/ Shelby for the CSM#, which on the current 5.0 Super Snakes wasn't helping them hold value.

It was a formidable car back in the day. There is a guy in my neighborhood that had one and he crushed the wastegate and beat pretty much everything on highway pulls back in the early 2000's. He stripped the interior, removed the bumpers, made it stupid light. I raced him when I had a HCI 2001 gt with 4:10's and a 150 shot. Ripped me on the highway. Love the turbo Omni lol.

Nick, do you expect there to be a substantial ADM on the 2022 GT-500? That, of course, would push the GT-500KR price UP!

You are correct.SHELBY said himself that,''We gotta take the people that go out and work for a living be able to afford our cars.''Using a 5.0 to make that super snake that you are talking about was a dam shame.A youtube channel tested a droptop version of that super snake and it fell apart and kept going into limp mode.To me the last real super snake were the 13-14 GT500.

SAI just needs to cash out and sell it all to Ford, who will actually put some effort into things. This jumping the shark strategy is just embarrassing.
Have you seen what ford is doing lately? I have a hard time believing they can tie their own shoes over at the blue oval.
