Get it while you can. Im not mad at these dealers one bit.

These are unprecedented times that will only be matched by unprecedented amounts of vehicles sitting on lots with 0 buyers once the supply chain is shored up.

It's not if, but when.

ass for every seat, my friend.

Dealers are charging these prices because people are paying them, supply / demand.

If they werent selling they wouldnt be asking these prices lolol
My current car I bought at 26% off MSRP (admittedly I knew they were turds laying on dealer lots).

Part of it, for me at least, on my wife's was the trade in value as well. Made it palatable to pay MSRP.

Not to totally thread-jack, but is there any special training and investment that had to take place toward your service department with the introduction of a fully electric vehicle in the line-up?

Maybe I’m wrong, but I was thinking Ford only had hybrids up to this point.

I'd have to add it all up... but it would fall between $35-45k. Hardware and training combined.

Yes, I have a feeling we have reached something I call "Max Dealership". For every action there is an opposite and equal reaction.

My dealer (Honda) is still selling at MSRP. But the only negotiating is the add ons tint/wheel locks/PPF etc. there is no car price negotiating.

Bought my wife a loaded pilot in September and couldn’t get an employee discount on a new one. Ended up getting a certified 1 year old 11k mile one for $9k less than a new one cost me. Those deals are hard to come by right now, used vehicles bringing almost new or more than new prices it’s insane

Trucks, especially 3/4-1 tons, are the worst right now. A 2-3 year old one with <60k is bringing what they sold for new three years ago.

Glad I locked in my '22 GT500 order at MSRP. Hopefully this craziness will pass soon. I've had more dealers email me regarding custom orders in the past couple of months than ever before - for basic f-150's, 250/350's, etc. Different times for sure.

Yeah I’ve been watching the truck market because that’s next on our purchase list is a truck for me. It will be a year or 2 before we pull the trigger I’m hoping the market comes back down on them some.

There’s a used maverick for sale locally dealer wants 50k for it. I thought the whole point of that truck was a low entry price point for someone who doesn’t need Bigger truck capabilities. I get the whole supply demand thing but damn.

Currently, yes. It's nuts. I could literally pick up the phone and sell all of my new inventory at over MSRP prices to other dealers. I sold a Mustang (I don't like to carry Mustangs December-March) for $1,000 and sold three Rangers for $4500 over MSRP (each).

They'll ask $40-50,000 over

Anybody that pays 50000 over for a bronco should be drug tested.

My local GM dealer has ZERO new units on the lot, just a few used vehicles. The Ford dealer is better but still looks pretty slim pickings. I'll just keep driving my junk and patiently wait for the floodgates to open.
