Would you change your mind if it came in manual? I wish GM would do that and offer it in manual. That would for sure take a slice out of the GT3 market. Almost half the price too compared to a GT3.
Honestly probably not. I drove a new c8, and while I can’t compare a base model to a z06, I just wasn’t a fan of the way I felt driving it. My z is an absolute raw drivers car and you feel the horsepower in the seat of your ass. The sound of a cammed ls7 at 7k rpm is irreplaceable

The Plaid can also haul a bike in the back and still be faster than the Z06. Yeah I know sound and everything but at least make if faster than the hated Tesla sedan?! The whole point of Corvette and Z06 is that it is supposed to be fast. Well it's slower than a 4 door electric sedan!

I would guess that you buy the Vette because you are not gay...
I am sure the C8 Z06 will be faster than the Plaid when they are done with their Nürburgring testing but it will be slower in a 1/4 mile drag race.

The Tesla at my local track overheated and went to limp mode after 3 laps. These aren't track cars.
As for the Z06:

Performance isn't everything. I already stated that. The modern car is a better built, better equipped vehicle to be in.
I'll tip my hat to GM, that's a whole lot of performance, tech and exotica. This thing definitely won't be cheap, especially if you need to have one soon. Mixed feelings about, it's a pretty radical departure from what we know...but then again the Corvette needed that to stay relevant. I think a base Stingray would be more than enough to keep me happy, if only they could put a manual in it.
