Some of the e cars you can drive in low (which normally is 1 for traditional cars with automatics), because its on low as soon as you let off the throttle the engine will slow itself down and charge at the same time. Braking also charges battery. But yea, you dont need sport car brakes because engine does the braking too.

Tesla Plaid weighs more and beats a 1000hp 720s McLaren from a dig and a roll. They tie a roll with 3 or 4 people in the Tesla and giving the McLaren a car length. Let's face it the Plaid is insane. It is pointless racing it unless you have a 8-9 second drag car.

Car is fast... owner is exactly what you'd imagine.

They are pretty nuts on the street. Stop light to stop light nothing is touching Plaid on the street . Here are my street runs , that's on regular Michelin Ps4 tires too .

Amazing yet depressing to watch.
If you had a 100 mph running start in the 1/4 mile and maintained that speed you would finish in 9 seconds flat.

If you had a 75 mph running start in the 1/8 mile and maintained that speed you would finish in 6 seconds flat.

A gutted Plaid will run a 1/4 mile from a dig in close to 9 seconds with a small driver!

A full weight stock Plaid with average driver runs a 1/8 mile from a dig in 6 seconds!

There's talks of a software update that would unleash more power. And if Tesla added a fourth motor (currently two at the rear and one at the front) the Plaid should run a 1/4 mile below 9 seconds with zero weight reduction.

I suppose we are experiencing similar feelings and emotions as the horse and buggy crowd did ~120 yrs ago lol

And the reliability/comfort of a daily driver.
I couldn't believe it when they said a Plaid driver ran a 9.4 in the pouring rain....

I may not like it...but I can respect it.

The Nevera has 4 motors too. I'm thinking in 3-4 years we will have 4 motor teslas, and in 5-6 years we will probably see 7 second capable electric cars (maybe a lot sooner). But I'm sure regulation will step in, 2000hp electric cars will be ****ing nuts tho.

Still keeping my gas cars, but a 2000hp awd instant everything is going to be insane.

Thats cool AF, how can you hate electric? I dont get some of the people here. This is like sticking to only one brand, lol, **** that.

This doesn't appeal to me at all. I have a friend who just bought one and took me for a ride. Yes, unbelievably fast in a straight line. I respect the technology but have ZERO desire having one. Ill take my slower, less efficient, more engaging fuel injected vehicles any day of the week.

I love the smell of gasoline. Not going to lie.

I hate that the Plaid is so ****ing fast lol! Only because I want ICE to be faster.

So, on our trip from TX to Montana, roughly 5000 miles round trip, and 300 miles per charge, I'd have to stop 16 times to charge, at how many hours per charge? Hell no. Hard pass.

I am not looking forward to the day this electric shit hits the NHRA.
Anyone that's ever been to an event knows that the rumble and cackle is very much a part of the experience.

We had electric cars well over 100 years ago. They just were not practical enough to make it. They went the same way as steam cars and the Dodo bird
