While waiting for the glass I dropped the fuel tank, added the vent, installed the hood pins, etc. everything posted above.

I finally got the car back today. The new OEM glass all around is awesome! So nice not having nicks and chips.

The windshield and back glass were tinted prior to installation so they are perfect. The side windows were tinted in the car since they are easier. I went with 90% up front and 35% everywhere else, all ceramic.

Once the car got home I had a new Bemaro carbon fiber SALEEN window banner waiting on me. Love those guys!

Looks so hot, but feels so much cooler in the cabin with the ceramic tint. Pretty pleased which how it all came back together.

Looking good! Glad it didn’t cause a wreck! I can relate, it happened to my scca ranger when a buddy took it for a spin. damage was mostly to the hinges and no crash

glad the damage wasn't worse.

I got up on the expressway and saw my hood flutter, definitely a high pucker factor moment. I guess I was lucky the secondary latch held on

Any guesses as to why it popped up?

I have ring video camera of me pushing the hood closed and pulling up on it to check and make sure it was latched. HOWEVER, normally, I dropped the hood and let it close.

Problem is the light weight CF hood requires some velocity and I never liked doing that. Guess I should have stuck with that method….
I’m assuming I missed a post here on on Social media, but did something happen?

Yea, the previous page has a bunch of photos. My hood popped open a few weeks ago. All fixed now, but it is what led me to install hood pins and replace all the glass around the car.

Wow, the damage could've been MUCH worse -- so glad to see it was pretty minor and your car actually came out better in the end. You seem to be a great caretaker of this car. Big kudos

So the hood coming up was before the aerocatch latches?

Correct. When I installed the latches, I still had a broken front window. Now it's all fresh clean glass.

Some small updates and car's back up for sale at a lower price!

Old Caster/Camber plates were looking a little rough, I swapped them out for new Maximum Motor Sports plates and added a new locking nut to the top of the shock. Looks much cleaner. Also got a fresh alignment to MM's recommendations for a street car, she's perfect now.

She's looking good with that new tint!

Next up was the back of the hood, it wasn't bad, but it was just black, not pretty carbon fiber.

Pulled the hood and wrapped the back side with 3M carbon fiber, looks much better now.

Finally, it's past Halloween, but here's a photo of Flash Gordon, he love this car, but really wants a pool, so the car is up for sale again. $45.9k. Let me know if you're interested in this amazing car!

Man this car is just so damn nice. I'll take those cc plates off you
Thanks man, it’s over the top nice. And I’ll happily sell the the CC plates, but they come with a car ;) I actually never asked for them after the swap. They could be in a box in the trunk or on someone else’s garage, if they are in the trunk and you pay shipping, they are yours. I’ll look next time I’m around the car.

So are those latches safe without the factory hood latch? Seems like the 6 small bolts holding each side to the hood would sheer through the hood at some point. Also, do you have cruise control with the Holley setup?
