I’m on the fence about buying a mostly stock Cobra vs one that has what most would consider must-have mods. The stock one is priced competitively, but I would like to add exhaust, pulley, intake, and a styling bar since it is a convertible.

I’m pretty handy, so I feel fairly confident in tackling the installs. I know the JLT intake is popular. I’d also be interested in something like Borla Ataks/Stingers and possibly an x-pipe, and anything extra that would give it a nice rumble. I’m open to suggestions.

What are the going prices for those items in he used marketplace? I guess once I determine that, I can be more certain in the direction I want to go in.

Thank you.

Have you considered perusing the marketplace to find this info?

My rule of thumb is used stuff should be worth about 60% of new. That was when things were readily available. Now that everything is on backorder, you should expect to pay more...maybe up to 75% of new price.

I buy stock and do my own mods. That way I know it was done right.
With the way prices are for stuff in most cases your better off buying new anyways.

For example Seller A sells you an exhaust. By the time you get raped by shipping costs = could buy new. And you get the satisfaction of doing it yourself

How many miles are on each car that your considering?

The modded one has 50k and local. The stock one has 55k and is 1,000 miles away. After shipping, the difference in price is about $9k. If I can get the modded one for a bit less, then it might be worth it. If not, bone stock might be financially better.
