I paid $2.82 for 87 on Friday. Most places around here are around $3.05-$3.10

Anyone watching the Olympics? I like the non team sports that most people don't care about. Yesterday I enjoyed the weightlifting, judo, fencing, boxing, tae kwon do, surfing, diving. I hope to see some wrestling this week too.

Is that John McCain sinking the Forrestal?
.
The McCain incident was on 29 July 1967.
I worked with a guy that was on the Forrestal on that day, after I retired.
The pic I posted happened on 17 March 1986, Forrestal was @ flight ops 100 miles off the coast of Jacksonville Fla.

How come?

I would say my interest has generally declined over time. When we would be on vacation and up in NC most of July with the whole family sitting around watching I guess it was a little different. It's sad what a corrupt, political theater it's become (or maybe always has been). I lost interest in swimming when I realized the 80year old judge was casually walking as fast as the fastest swimmers in the world.

I might try to catch some of the men's basketball if they don't manage to get themselves eliminated

I will admit the Olympics were more interesting during the Cold War. The USA against the evil Russians and East Germans was great theater. I don't think the few athletes that have disrespected the USA speak for all the athletes though. My guess is that a lot of the USA athletes wish the few political idiots would just stfu.

Very happy to see the us basketball team lost to France. And I ****ing hate France. That’s what they get for disrespecting the flag.
I missed the basketball team disrespecting the flag. Who/what did they say/do?

I haven't watched the Olympics mainly cause I don't have cable and don't care to find out how to watch it.

Winter one I'll watch due to hockey and curling for some odd reason.

Strange question for anyone with background in evolutionary biology or antelopes: Why the **** do Antelopes run so fast and have such good eyesight? As far as I know they have no predators. And yet they are the best equipped prey animal in all of north america. The can outrun any other land animal and can see over a mile away. Also, they are skittish AF so you cannot get near them if you wanted to.

It would be one thing if they were constantly chased by predators but they are not. What is the explanation?

IDK, but I do know that they can't jump worth a shit. If they come to a fence they will try to scoot under it instead of trying to jump over it. When Antelope hunting one tries to "heard" them to a fence line because they become "trapped" if they can't get under the fence. BTW, Coyotes prey on Antelopes, although they usually go after the young and the lame.

New guy spitting wisdom. Love it. I have found chasing them down in a truck and shooting them out the window also works.

I lived in Antelope Montana for a few years believe it or not, back in the day. Not saying that is where my knowledge of Antelope came from...but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express once.

Got a new set of feet for the rotary that I use for laser engraving cups and bottles. Came in just in time for volleyball season. I will probably supply at least two teams this season, but hopefully more want in on it.

Going to try less uga dugas when I put these on...
