I told the wife I want to pack up my shit and get lost for 3 or 4 days. I just want to get out of the northeast, and traffic, and everything associated with both.
The vehicle, my 2014 Harley Davidson Ultra Limited.
I'm looking to backroad to nowhere and to see nothing. I plan on scooting out form Upper Bucks Co. PA and using state highways and local roads, avoiding larger towns like York and Lancaster and crossing through communist Maryland around Hancock near Berkley Springs.

Any roads that cross through WV or nice little small towns or chow joints to see?
And has anyone else done a trip like this? Any tips?
Any places to avoid?

Blackwater falls, in Davis Wva. Always 10 to 15 degrees colder due to elevation and mountains. They have love shack cabins in black water falls nation park.

Make your way down to the blue ridge parkway in VA and ride it all the way to western NC. Might need more time though but well worth it

Do you want a peaceful/beautiful ride through God's country, or do you want to experience West-by-God-Virginia in all its where-the-wrong-turn-**** am I glory? They are two very different things.

@DMassey

Peaceful, beautiful, complete disconnect, but want air conditioned rooms and a bar I can walk to.
I've done this trip through PA with the wife in our '12 GT but don't want to cover the same old ground and there is a certain level of meditation one can reach by themselves and on a bike.

Head to the western part of the state and get lost in the Monongahela National Forest.

Snort laughed in my hotel room. My mom was from parts of VA (Wyth Co) where we used to joke that the Civil War wasn’t yet declared when we drove through.

edit: Pulaski County.

Isn't that the truth.

Depending on where you're coming from, the ride out Corridor H to Moorefield then down 220/28 to Seneca Rocks is awesome. From there you can come back up to Davis which is a super cool town, and Blackwater Falls Park as already mentioned. Beautiful area.

@DMassey

Terribly accurate :D

Davis, Blackwater Falls, Seneca Rocks, Smoke Hole Caverns, Spruce Knob.... that whole drive is beautiful God's Country for sure. If you come down the the southern coalfields part of the State... there are alot of poor towns surrounded by some of the best mountainous roads around, with some beautiful mountaintop cabins sprinkled in here and there. The ATV tourism recreation is starting to take off, with some good restaurants & bars popping up... but nowhere near the quantity of bars/restaurants that you'll find in the more populated areas like Charleston/Huntington/NoWV/eastern panhandle.

Edit: I was going to make a Deliverance joke but just realized that was in Northern Georgia. For some reason I thought it was in West Virginia.
