For future reference, when getting interviewed:
-ask for the questions up front
-ask the interviewer 'what do you need from me for this to be a good story for you?'
-pick 2 or 3 key points that you want to drive home, connect them to your answers as best you can
-keep answers to 10 or 15 seconds, that's all they're ever gonna use so don't give them a chance to take something out of context
-nothing is ever off record, assume cameras are always on and every word you say is being recorded
