Lol, someone has there panties in a big ol knot! I like how my logic is “dumb” yet you have zero rebuttal besides personal attacks and name calling. The defense to having to replace a 20k lithium pack every 8-10 years - gotta be a baller. Haha, awesome!

A ford fusion fwd 2.0 turbo fuel costs over 10 years is $18.7k

I mean, it's basically a wash if you were to keep the same car for 10 years and have no issues.

Odds are most first and 2nd owners won't own an EV long enough to be stuck with the battery bill.

You think AO will own that same EV for more than 6 months? lol

Once the Democrats fully get their way and wash the world of ICE, do you believe energy costs will stay the same? Taxes on taxes on taxes are coming for EV owners

I think it'll be tied into registration fees. Especially as/if gas stations go away/less used and gas tax loses income.

spending to improve the grid to support nation wide EV's will be astronomical. Taxing the ever living shit out of EV owners will be the first time I get excited about a new tax.

I just renewed a registration on a 15 fusion 2.0 EB and there was an extra tax tacked on. Don't recall what it was called but was dependent on the vehicles rated fuel mileage. So the better mileage the car gets the more tax you pay.

I think it is funny that you EV lovers (and I had one for a short time) think that down the road with mass adoption that there will be these fast performance EV's. Do you all think there will be no government restrictions that emphasize range and grid strain? We will all be driving a Hyundai Tuscon like vehicle that is just as fast as the ICE one's today. Everything else will be taxed, if not banned out of existence.

Who's paying for the electricity to charge the EV for that 10 years?

This is easy, the EV doesnt need to be plugged in. Just plug in to charge and then go. Gas powered would be different, you are running 10 year old gas and motor oil.

@ArabianOak do you have solar panels and a power wall? Thats what my brother and I are planning to get. My coworker doesnt have the power wall, just solar panels and paid like .20 cents last year for electricity.
Looking to get an EV for my mom so there is no maintenance required. Then at the end of the day, just plug in to charge so no more going to gas station.

Read it costs around 15 bucks to fully charge a Tesla with a 100 kWh battery using the national average of 0.13c per kWh.

Not saying or was implying the cost was free to charge it, but it's not like gas engines go 8-10 years either without other costs than just gas.
