With all the newer tech and impressive hp auto manufacturers are coming out with, it's hard not to like the newer muscle/sports cars.

But I find myself not liking the styling and looks of most of them.

I find myself liking older cars more and more. Everything from the 60' to 70's muscle cars, Grand Nationals, Monte Carlos, foxbody mustangs, late 90's Vipers, terminators, ect.

From there, it's all kinds blah to me. Am I the only one?

Not really, this was the main reason I got the SS as it is the last of the Australian consumer vehicles made and probably be as everyone pretty much closed down operations there.

Talking about tech I still have not used the self parking this vehicle has, so I have no idea if it works or not.

Tech is replacing skill, which considering some of today's drivers, may not be a bad thing !!
The last Mustang I had any interest in, had one of these..

Actually im still excited about the newer muscle/sports while the V8 is still being offered. With it seeming to be limited time left before the V8 goes away i will enjoy all the new tech stuff. Especially the comfort features that come in them. Makes it Actually worth making them a DD.

I agree.

Based on looks. All vipers are nice, terminators, 10-14 GT500, all of the popular 60-70 muscle. I have to disagree about the 80s though. Least favorite decade for just about everything. I'll take a late model fox but just didn't like any of the trends. The hi-po C7s aren't bad imho. Some of the newer chargers aren't bad, just boring looking now since they've been around for like 15 years.

Well, I drove past the Ford dealership a few days ago and seen 300 trucks smh and 1 Mustang on display up high in the air.

And all I could think about when I looked at the Mustang was just how incredibly lame and boring it was! Just a bubble with zero character and lines. Just boring AF! Its almost as bad as the Tesla smh.

Once again when is Ford going to design it to look like a Mustang again? Ya know, like Chevy did with the Camaro and Dodge did with the Challenger? Those cars have style and resemble an iconic car. The new Mustang resembles nothing and gets uglier each year!

I like the styling of some, I like the power of the engines but they are becoming too overweight.

While I agree the 05-09 has not held up well over time.

The S550 has never appealed to me. It's not a bad looking car it just doesn't have the attitude and presence of the 11-14. It screams "The future is female" and "Global appeal". I like the looks of the Camaro, it's tough looking but the periscope view and Cavalier interior turn me off.
The Challenger still looks good from all angles and the interior is nice but it's at a 120% scale. And I just can't get past the "The official car of section 8" title.

But if I had to buy any of them I would take a GT500. It's a world class car and they beefed up the styling. Kinda like they did from the base Mustang II to the King Cobra II.

I am in the same boat, all these new cars are nice and all but you can't beat the styling of the older muscle cars. It also doesn't help that the government and car manufacturers are neutering the vehicles.

I agree with you Brady. For me it's about styling and sound. The last Mustang I was truly excited about was the Fox body, but my favorite will always be the 65/66.

I really like my Terminator, but I was never really thrilled about the new edge body style. A lot of folks love the blower whine, but I prefer the sound of a lopy cam motor.

To me nothing sounds better than an old school pushrod motor. That rumble is just the best in my opinion.

You old bastards.

Give me ‘69-‘72 Fastback, a clean fox, or a GT350 and I’ll be just fine.

Plenty of new Challengers are legit, same with the Corvette.

this is part of it, power is amazing but they just keep getting bigger and heavier. The price tags on anything I’m interested in are higher than I’m willing to go.

I love the new Mustangs, the Hellcat Charger and Challenger.
Not crazy about the C8 at all. Loved the C7 cars.

Some of the BMW and AMG cars look pretty killer too.

Watched a you tube video last night. Guy compared his 2014 GT500 to his 2018 GT350

He used the following sentence, "The 14 is a true MUSCLE CAR cause of the solid rear axle and lack of tech. The GT350 I have here is a SPORTS CAR."

That's fine if thats how he wants to frame it. I wont buy anything newer than my '13 from Ford

I may not get anything newer than my 03. But a 13-14 Shelby I might consider.
