Im thinking of using a remote controlled cut out switch in the trunk wired to the fuel pump inertia switch, who has done this, here are two listed below but not sure if they would work or if there is something better?

I leave my car unlocked in the driveway under the carport.
This except have a sign that says "for a 1 way ticket to meet god, come find out if my car is unlocked" and have a light pointing to it so people can read it visibly at night.
Consider splicing into the ground from the inertia switch.
I think it completes a ground for the pump to work. Splice into the ground with a switch you control.

My low mileage car is garaged and I only need the anti theft for when out in about or on a road trip (which is not often) and opening the hood and pulling a relay in a parking lot or side of street is not an option. Since posting this thread Ive read on many sites that wiring in a remote switch to the fuel pump for a couple reasons is not a good idea. The most recommended is a switch to the starter relay. Also Im starting to think that instead of a remote switch that a hidden mechanical switch would be a better idea.

There is a Chris Fixx video where he mounts an electrical switch inside the shift boot.
If you can afford it, Ravelco is the way to go.
No one regrets getting it done.

My 01 had the weirdest set up. There was a sensor mounted under the dash that needed a fob held against it for a couple seconds before it would start. It would beep when it was ready. At first it was annoying, but I got used to it eventually. The funny thing was watching other people try to start it. There was also a circuit card tucked under the dash that if I removed the car would never start no matter what. I thought about moving it somewhere else so I could access it easily.
I think the inertia switch is on the hot side. The PCM/FPDM grounds the circuit to give it the PWM signal, while the other side is hot with key on. It would work in that circuit in any case.
I would also consider putting the switch in the starter circuit to the solenoid wire it uses to crank. Then a thief can't even kill the battery trying to crank it.

I haven't had to deal with my car on road trips at this point, I've thought about adding GPS etc...etc... maybe it makes me an ass but at this point if something happened to the car I wouldn't be mad about the agreed value check Im gonna get

Lol, my agreed value is up there but I probably couldnt find a car in my cars condition with 13k miles and/or with all the upgrades and work that ive put into it (and I wouldnt want to start over again) and I wouldnt get enough $$ to buy a new GT
The Ravelco thing sounds interesting but dont want to get that complicated or expensive.
I just want a simple hidden by-pass switch just for a little extra security and now I dont want to tap into any part of the fuel electrical so I need to tap into the starter relay with a hidden switch----any body know where and what wire to tap into for that?

I know at least on mine the starter switched wire is WH/RD. Not sure how far up that branch of the chassis harness it goes, but it has to go at least from the starter, around the front of the engine, and up by the fuse box.
if youre out and about a disable switch won't stop a tow truck which is why if I was gonna do something I think it would be a hidden and powered GPS
