Plaid doing work

This thing is nuts. Got to watch Brooks make 9 or 10 passes yesterday at OSW.
His video is up, so I figured it was cool to share some of my footage.
It went no slower than 9.30 and almost broke the current 9.246 record (within a hundredth or 2). If you watch close you can see it go into Cheetah mode on the starting line right before it takes off.

Rain cut the day short, but considering we just had a TS move through on Tuesday, we were happy to get a few hours in.

With 4 adults it still ran 9.8 at like 147 lol

These things are going to hurt a ton of feelings on the street.

I watched his vid today. Makes it look easy.

As a side note. I got to drive a Model S 100d this week. (Not the new model or even the performance model). Very nice to drive and comfortable. It had 44K miles on it was was rattle/squeak free. At 6'3", the only thing I didn't like was getting in and out of the car. Once I was in, it had plenty of room.

I really wanted to ask him to let us load up 4 or 5 deep and make a pass, but the rain killed that idea. Although, it probably still runs 9s in the wet...

It doesn't even look fast as it takes off.

Is that a normal stock tire or anything??
Are these gonna dip 8s with a tire or some kinda tweak??

Same MPS4s that came on my PP1 Mustang. Not that they aren’t an awesome tire, but very ‘normal’ for sure.
You’ll notice it never broke traction that you can hear. I doubt better tires will help, maybe once they release the next power upgrade.

Every pass was in the 1.48-1.50 range for 60’.
Here’s the time slips I held onto.

Definitely a game changer. However, if everyone with these cars will hit the same time, what happens to the competitive spirit?

Also, what do you do between rounds? Who brought the fastest charger??

That 9.248 @ 150.65 pass was sick. It is mind-bending to see how well they hook off the line. They just.....GO!

They WILL have to separate it so the ICE guys can still get trophies in a few years.

And to think we're just scratching the surface of what EV's will be capable of. Imagine just (5) years from now! This is the infancy of EV and they are already nearing an 8 second pass right off the showroom floor!

Death to combustion engines is only a few decades away fellas cause by then a low 8 second EV car will be had from ur local dealer for $50k! Only a matter of time. Its not if its when....
