Anyone have a strut tower brace that they want to part with? Posted in the market place and no luck. And being that this a budget build I thought I’d ask here

This past weekend I went to Texas on a quick 2 day vacation. And I got to see my little lady again and I fell in love with the car again. Can’t wait for the long tubes to installed.
My ex father in law was even talking about trading my sra with 4.30s for a IRS.

Felt good to get behind the wheel of this 270rwhp beast.

So my project has come an abrupt stop. I got transferred back to Texas. I am moving back next week.
But I thought I was going to get help completing the car from a “friend” and turns out he wants to charge me for his services. Mind you I have done so much and spent so much in the last 3.5 years to get it to this point. Don’t know what to do ? Do I just install the long tubes and forget the gears and jacking rails? And the chains and guides can be done down the road I guess

Throw those longtubes on there and at least rock it for a while. I've been loving having mine back. You will too.
Maybe save up the $3k and then get the rest done?
Or is that not an option?

I am saving for the long tube header install. And also for a kmember as well since it has to come out anyway. Hopefully by December or so

You're gonna miss those 4.30s
You'll only get $150 or so for them, may as well hold onto them for now.
Why do you want the longtubes so bad?
I'd take 4.30s over longtubes.

For your application they aren't worth it IMO. They are more of a pain than they are worth. That was the one bolt on I avoided over the years.
You just want a driver for around town, etc, right? Keep the manifolds and K stock, and definitely add the 4.30s. Don't start doubting me now! ;)

I just read through this thread. What a great inspiration to those of us sitting on old cars, contemplating when and how to start. Don't give up on her now! I appreciate the slow, steady progress bringing the old Cobra back to life.

Thank you. Yeah going to take 98svt advice and just install the gears and call it a day

Just when I thought I was at the end, this car gave me a couple of crappy surprises today. Found out I really need install the stifflers jacking rails I bought ASAP (look at pics of damage) and possible new subframes and have them installed by a pro. Two I need to purchase a catback exhaust (since a crappy one was installed). Three fix the leaky rear (regasket it).

Happy fourth to me
Honestly I just want to finish this thing :(
