Well it’s a woman but she’s a demonrat so you never know about the sack situation. On a side note it has come out that both JFK assasination and 9/11 were also caused by climate change.
Ehhh, don't see a conspiracy. Built on the cheap, probably some greased palms and the location then add time. Also nobody wanting to pay for the repairs that were called out. The US isn't a 3rd world country but we love to kick the can when it comes to maintaining things, it's not exciting or sexy like putting up new buildings.

it would not surprise me to see this is only they first one. I suspect there will be more,some bigger, some smaller. Strata's are often not keen to spend any more money than they have too. Structural repairs are expensive, time consuming and a real PITA for the residents to live through. If they can put it off, they will unless forced to upgrade by the building inspector and/or Fire inspector. Maybe this will stimulate inspectors to be more diligent and Strata's to open their wallets.
I'm sure you aren't surprised. Politicians regularly take advantage of newsworthy events to capitalize for their personal gain, or the gain of their political party. Democrats aren't the only offenders. Republicans do the same thing. I agree, of course, that she's a POS for her comments. Beyond stupid! But...not surprising. I'd be more surprised if Progressives (and Democrats) who are onboard with climate change activists DIDN'T take advantage of it. Scum! All of them who manipulate and work to control minds.

Authorities on Thursday said search-and-rescue efforts at the collapsed Surfside condominium building have been halted until further notice due to "structural concerns about the standing structure."
The efforts were paused just after 2 a.m. because of movement in a large column, as well as slight shifting of concrete floor slabs.
"We've been working in a very, very unsafe environment," said Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Chief Alan Cominsky. "There was some expansion with the cracks. So immediately we removed."

Rescuers spoke to woman trapped in Surfside collapse but she didn’t make it
One rescue worker who asked to remain anonymous tells Local 10 News: “Everybody that was there, that’s what we’re trying to do, get this lady out and comfort her. ... She was asking for help and she was pleading to be taken out of there.
“We were continuously talking to her. ... ‘Honey, we got you. We’re going to get to you.’”
But a photo he shared showed what stood in their way: A dumpster, metal rebar, and a wall of concrete.
The rescue worker says he and others first on the scene rushed into that debris before anyone even knew if the building was safe, pausing only to send a quick text to his children: “Love you guys, always.”
He says he was never able to see the woman trapped inside.
“The first thing I remember is thumping on the wall and then I remember her just talking, ‘I’m here, get me out. Get me out,’” he says.
He says crews never abandoned their effort — but he later learned the woman didn’t make it.
Local 10 News also learned of an email sent by a supervisor worried about the effects of this loss on his crews, saying they were “involved with an active conversation with the female trapped next to the bed about 10 to 11 hours after the collapse. … She was aware her parents were also trapped next to her.”
The email says a fire that broke out forced crews to move back “as we know she passed.” Chiefs on scene reported, “They saw the wind knocked out of our guys…”
