This finally came in after 10 weeks of patiently waiting. I can’t wait to get it in. The car is 1968 coup, and had a c-4. I’ve been waiting to put a 5 speed in it since before I even bought the dam thing so I’m supper juiced.

Yes. I got a kit from Modern driveline and I received all the parts right away and was only waiting for the throw out bearing and transmission.

I wish I had one of these in my 69. I put a TKO600 in at the time because its what everybody said to get, but it leaks oil out the front somewhere. I then started doing research on them an there are a lot of problems on TKO600's naturally no one ever mentioned them in the years I had read about TKO's before buying one lol.

I talked to the guy who built my engine and he mentioned the TKO600 has a problem shifting at higher RPMs, but didn't mention anything else.

So, when I ordered from America Powertrain I asked for the upgraded sure shift package.

I ordered my TKO600 and a couple months later the TKX was being offered.....

Mine is under warranty, but if there's a problem I think it would be more of a hassle to remove it, drain it and ship it back. Hopefully I don't have any issues.

I think this TKX is the best thing going right now. They put some work into making this nice and compact with high RPM shifting capabilities. I think it’s cool they even spent the time and money to make a new and improved 5 speed.

The cases can crack, they also can leak out the front plug.
