Well Hogan, for whatever reason, always had higher priority stuff to do than my DOB turbo hat. Asked them to send my blower mount plate back.

Kinda rethinking where this car is going. Driving my new 19 GT has made me realize that I want the car to be more street friendly. Just always seem to have stuff going on that is just not letting me get to the 1/8th mile strip an hour away from me.

Think I will do a cam swap and install the AEM with street corn tune and see where I am at. If I like it I will probably do a 6R80 install over the winter. If I don't like it, I will pick up a Gen 2 Coyote/6R80 conversion package and do H/C/I.

Not sure what I will do with the turbo, could potentially come into play down the road with the Coyote, if I roll that way.

Got tired of poor idle (8-10 inches) with my big locked stage 3 cams. Decided to step back to a stage 2 cam. Still on Ignite 114.

Crazy, JLT 123 from cobrajet 140, ID1000 from DW1500 and the cam swap not locked or limited and not degreed. IAT's at end of run in the 112 to 118. No more weird boost taper, making more power by a lot with less boost indicated. Big stage 3 locked and degreed cams are not the way to go on 3V with Mr. 3.4 Whipple. Idle now back at 18 inches. IAT's running 112F to 118F at end of runs.

I think I can live with this!

This thread needs updates!!!

I just did, LOL.

The Bullseye turbo and AEM kit are sitting on my shelf, which, I am not thrilled with. The money is spent, so will hold onto for a while, as I can envision a path where they might get used.

Took the car for a good drive yesterday and stop signs/traffic were not an issue. The car is a total beast with just brutal acceleration and is a hoot to drive again. We'll see what happens in the future.

So, thought about selling the 2008 GT, but just to much blood, sweat and treasure expended to let it go for peanuts on the dollar. Decided I was going to pick up a gen 3 crate motor and control pack. That ran head on into the chip shortage and the motor and control pack I thought I had locked down went poof when my builder tried to pay for them. Not a complete shock, little fish versus big fish in a pandemic shortage.

So I started kicking around picking up a drop out 5.0/10R80 combo like I had in the 2019 I traded off for my Hellcat. Wasn't seeing much that I liked and then Midway Mustang popped this one up and I found a winner. 2020 Mustang Gt under 600 miles. Motor and trans has been dropped and the money wired. Hope to see it late this week or next, t

Good luck bringing this car back to life. The engine bay looks so clean but the tire side is busted.

The powertrain is being transplanted into my 2008. The donor car will be stripped of all usable parts by the salvage company I bought the powertrain swap from.

Still waiting for a Gen 3/10R80 FRPP controller, ship date just kept getting pushed back. May have a lead on a shop that reprograms stock computer and provides needed harness/fuse block to make stock stuff work.

To be continued...

So, I bought the engine harness from Mars that allows you to use the stock Gen 3 computer and my Ford Racing control packed shipped, LOL. The shop doing the work is going to use the Mars harness and I told him to keep the FRPP pack until they were sure it would work. He'll then sell it and if needed, I'll make him whole if he needs to discount to move. Fair trade off in case the Mars harness doesn't work out for some reason.

Shop that was doing the swap closed and owner built a new shop just for himself. The whole waiting for a controller screwed my window to be worked on and car ended back at my house with Coyote engine and trans installed, but nothing else.

So, story to be continued when car can get into the new shop. Luckily, I have my Hellcat to drive when it gets nice again.
