Its kinda like the old Ranger. Good price point, good little hauler and decent mpg.

Brad, it's so growing on me that tonight I was buying gas at BJ's and my wife started talking about her next vehicle. I actually mentioned the Maverick truck and she lit up and said she might want it. Caught me by surprise. I don't think she'll actually buy a truck, but she's always wanted one and wouldn't want a full-size truck. Hmmm.

Saw it in person at the annual Fab Fords Forever car show this weekend. It looked really good in person.

Trying to figure out why Ford is building a smaller truck than the Ranger. I get the cheap truck part. Oh it does have a bottle opener for beer drinkers. I see a load of plywood in the bed and 3' hangs over the tailgate. It is cheap though. Could you imagine 4 burly lumberjacks in there LOL

The Maverick is what the ranger should have been, with exception to the unibody. I have no interest in the current Lifted Focus-looking Ranger, might as well get an F150.

By my estimates, it's because there was an hole in the market for people who bitch about how big, and tall, the Ranger is. The Ranger gets marginally better fuel economy than the F150 and is much smaller. This Maverick is 11" shorter than the Ranger, with most of that in the bed and the remainder (likely) in the front. The cab should be just as big, if not bigger, than the Ranger and provide plenty of utility for most people. I think it's a good option to round out the lineup, and they'll sell a shitload.
