I was just gifted a 03/04 coolant crossover. Will I be able to use it on my 96 cobra? I asked this question on the sn95 cobra section and no one seemed to know.

While you can more than likely use it (I don't remember there being much difference) there really isn't a point for it. You won't gain anything for it.

One thing the '03/04 crossovers don't have is the alternator mounting tabs since the alternator is mounted down by the header.

Aren't those tabs just to hold the crossover in place? It's been a while since I've messed with an earlier set up. I to remember there was a bracket that went from the alternator to the intake.

I think the tube locations are different too, but with a little effort you could make it work.

sell it, but a crossover delete and make your life easier...unless you just want the stock appearance. I went from burping the car 3x with the stock style crossover to not all with a delete setup. Get it up to temp once, add coolant to the tank and done.

Could be, I always thought they were extra support for the alternator since it only has the two slots on the bottom that sit on bolts, might be wrong though.

I had to dig through the memory banks on this one. I think they were there to hold the crossover in place. I remember my Procharger crossover didn't have them on top because I was able to pull the alternator out through the crossover when I needed to swap it out.

Does anyone know of or have a write up for doing the coolant crossover delete?

Depends which one you buy. Many on the market and each come with different parts and install different.

this. I can't even remember if the GT (mustang) lower radiator hose works with the terminator or not. It worked on my Mach with minor trimming (engine side I believe).
