No because the big bang was an explosion OF space, not an explosion in space. Kind of like the surface of a balloon as it blows up, (have to think only the surface)
Big bang is a pretty much guaranteed model, beyond our universe, if there is a beyond, we have no idea
Be the first to admit my ignorance of time and space but if the universe is ever expanding due to this Big Bang then from what origin did it originate?

Likely itself in a contracted singularity. But in what medium? There is nothing more than speculation beyond that.

Big bang occurs, universe expands until it can't any longer, then big crunch brings it all back to the singularity, then it reshuffles the deck and big bang again. Each time a different universe with entirely different rules.

Nearly all scientists now agree that the Big Crunch isn't possible. A generally more accepted fate is Heat Death as everything moves towards entropy.

There is a theory that Heat Death is not the end because, it enough time, anything is possible in terms of possible outcomes. Think of the monkeys typing literature theory, now apply that to the Universe in terms of particles gathering in a single place. Given infinity time, it's possible. Since the future can never be defined, it's possible that something similar to a Big Crunch takes place but directly because of the Universe contracting, but rather all energy in whatever form gathering in one spot.

With what you guys are talking about regarding the big bang and our universe, I had a thought. We know there are multiple dimensions that exist along-side, on top of, or whatever with ours. So in regards to the argument about God as the Creator, the big bang was the creation of our dimension outside of His as it states in Genesis that He spoke it into existence. So when we wonder what was before the big bang and before creation I find it minisculely easier to comprehend with the understanding that nothing of our universe existed at all but other dimensions existed long before ours and we know, or believe, that God exists on His own dimension, devoid of the laws we live by in our own universe. I guess that also leaves the door open to life on other dimensions that are much older than us so what we come across may not actually be from our universe but from another dimension. I of course still want to know where those other dimensions and the beings within them came from. What was before them!

I guess my question there would be about the accuracy of saying that our dimension started with the big bang. I assume that is the case, but don't know if there is evidence to suggest otherwise.

I would assume we're like ants to them in comparison. I mean lets just go back 200 years and give ANY scientist a Nuclear bomb and have them disable it and then put it back together to arm it.

I doubt any would have a clue what to do with it or how it worked so imagine how far advanced a civilization millions of years ahead is. Im betting their WAY past nuclear power and simply use whatever Sun is available for their fuel source.

Imagine how fast their sports cars are.......:D

This is my belief as well. Any civilization with the technology to traverse the galaxy in a meaningful timeframe would likely be way more advanced than we are. Could end badly for us depending on their motives for coming here. Lol

Blasphemy, an advanced civilization would realize green energy is a scam. Coal powered faster than light travel is where it's at.

Yes there's the Big Bang theory and then the Big Crunch or the Big Chill hypotheses.

Not that it really matters to us mere mortals but I personally think the Big Chill is a nasty ending for the Universe. In that scenario all stars eventually die out and even atoms dissolve. Long after our own Sun becomes a red giant and then flames out many more stars will be born. For hundreds of billions of years or longer (trillions). Eventually though these future new stars will also die according to the Big Chill Theory. Galaxies will become darker and also move further away from other galaxies. If our planet is not destroyed during our Sun's red giant phase it will eventually also end up in a black hole. Trillions upon trillions of years from now all that will be left are black holes. And then eventually even the black holes will fizzle out.

With the Big Crunch theory everything reverses and the Big Bang restarts like a yo-yo over and over.

Watch this video. It is haunting. It makes you sad when you realize how fleeting our existence is. A billion years from now Earth will be too hot to sustain life because of our expanding Sun.

Where did it come from?
That is a question that nobody can answer lol. I personally am resigned to the theory that the Creator is a Beginningless Being / Entity. The Creator always existed. That thought is no more crazy than us typing here on SVT Performance. Why the hell do we even exist?! haha!

would the govt try to hide the evidence ? **** yea. because the govt wants full control.

with the universe being infinity big, why would we be ignorant enough to deny the truth ?

we have ****ed up this universe enough, I would be glad if aliens took over LOL.

1-Aliens exist, guaranteed... And likely millions of civilizations out there.

2- I do not believe they have been here. What makes anyone think the world's government's would have even a tiny ounce of power to keep it a secret? That NASA study was in fact for basic interest if we do make contact. It's not far fetched to think we will at any moment start receiving signals.

3- space is just way too large.
I agree. Astrophysicists have calculated that there are more Earth-like planets in the Universe than grains of sand on all our beaches.

There may be more Earth-like planets than grains of sand on all our beaches.
