My pump is whining, pretty sure it needs to be replaced. It's definitely not low on fluid.
Any suggestions for a nice quality piece?
Pretty sure all 96-04 4.6 Mustangs use the same pump

I'm pretty sure all ford modular p/s pumps are generally the same. The part numbers vary between my cobra, saleen and e350 Van's, even between the years on the Van's. Pretty sure it's just updated numbers over the years. Motorcraft still makes them and they are available on rockauto. I've ran these things to 400k on Van's a half a dozen times and never had to replace one.

Thanks for the info, I'll take a peek at RockAuto.
I was sure if anyone made one that is superior to the OEM pump.
