So this tube running from my intake to my EGR area (I think it's called my air control valve inlet tube?) is starting to not stay in place at my intake and it dry rotted/cracked around my EGR side on the driver side where it connects. I put some tape to keep it on but it only keeps it on temporarily. Any place where to get a replacement one or good used OEM one? Or even what size tubing to get at the parts store and make my own? Not your common every day item and I cant seem to fine one on eBay or the facebook cobra forums.

Maybe the Ford dealership? It may not be a part that is currently offered, but maybe your local Ford parts dept., through their locator system, can find a dealership who has one in stock (old stock)?

Just asking........that is the first place I would check, and if they have no direction for you, then it will be a search on the internet. I would also ask for the part number so that you can use it in your search......

Oh yes, 7 years is the longest they have to keep parts in stock, and even at that point the parts become limited. If that part is related to idle air control, which is basically a controlled vacuum leak, like to increase the RPM's when the A/C compressor is engaged, it is a big deal part, too much of a vacuum leak will cause poor run quality or no run at all.......

If you get the part number searched at the dealership level first, they can see if there are any dealers who have one sitting on their shelf. From that point it would be taking the original Ford part number to a website like Green Sales and see if they have one. Green Sales buys old/obsolete Ford parts and sells them to owners just like you, who need a part that has been long ago discontinued by Ford.....There are other NOS vendors who also buy all of the parts from Ford, the parts that they (Ford) want to unload so that they do not need to pay tax on that inventory....

Yeah Ford is the only place I haven't tried. Figured the car being so old theres no way this part is in stock anywhere.

When I bought my 98, that had been replaced with 3/4" heater hose. That was over 10 years ago that same heater hose is still on there today. Lol.
