Anyone running Baer Eradispeed 2-Piece Rotors

I am looking at Baer Eradispeed 2-piece rotors. The weight savings is nice and I like the looks of a true 2-piece rotor. I'm not getting these for performance improvements.

The fronts are a direct swap. The rears require an adapter bracket to relocate the caliper which requires axle removal. It isn't a deal killer but I'm not exactly excited about cracking the differential open.

Has anyone run these rotors? Installed them? Any sort of experience with them???

Thanks, Tom

I have a 2008 and run these on the rear of my GT500. My kit came with taller caliper brackets. I did not have to remove axels. Just swap the stock caliper bracket for the one supplied. Not sure if they made it that easy for the 13-14 GT500.

I have a 2007 and have the Eradispeed rotors front and rear. As me32 stated, I didn't have to pull the axles on the rear -- the supplied bracket was a simple bolt-on. No issues in the 70,000 miles I've put on the rotors since they were installed.

Unfortunately, the 13-14 rotors require axle removal for the bracket to relocate the caliper.

Baer 2013-2014 Shelby GT500 14" EradiSpeed+2 Rear Rotor Upgrade

Looking at the kit lethal sales looks like they have an adapter. Doesn't look like the axles need to come out. Maybe call them or email/PM them to get clarification on there kit.

I do know the 13/14 axle bracket is taller for the bigger factory rear rotor.

I see from Baer site it shows the they use different mounting brackets that require the axel to be removed.

Tom - I know this is not what you are asking about, but here is a 3-way rear rotor comparo for a oem 2008 GT500 rotor (top), the 2pc. Baer Eradispeed (lower left) and the Baer Extreme 6S (lower right).............The Baer Eradispeed rear rotor upgrade was part of the standard install on my Super Snake.......The oem and Eradispeed have the smaller oem brake pad contact surface......

I’ve done the swap the fronts are easy. The rears require quite a lot if work. As you stated bracket with axle removal and all the work involved

Great upgrade.
And Tom, worth the effort as you want to install gears anyway. Crack that diff, crack that diff. :)

UGH! Thanks for confirming the axle removal. I was hoping the instructions didn't apply since we already had the larger rear brakes.

The whine issue is WAY overblown for street cars that don’t launch from a dig on track. Competent installer with quality parts and a standard break in has never given my whine on this car. In my experience with 3 gear swaps, all have been silent until the first track day.
New rotors and some FRPP gears and you’ll have that new car feeling all over again :)
