my idea...all manufactures should sell direct, turn dealerships into service centers only. after spending 20years working in car dealerships im just a touch bitter. might not be able to tell.
Definitely can tell.

Fyi if you do that, you will end up all dealership become jiffy lubes.

I mean, I would try to locate one first...but the likelihood of that working out is slim. The dealer that has it will either not let it go, or want A LOT of extra money for it.
Thanks.

That's crazy! Bought just in time, fully loaded Explorer Platinum for almost 10k under MSRP including rebates.

On top of it, dealer also gave me close to 6k equity for my 18 Explorer Sport.
This was over the weekend, come Monday, similar Platinum same place was back close to MSRP price.

Your previous thread on used car market spike was the reason I shopped around. Thanks a million Nick!

I would get rid of my Shelby for a focus ST.

im starting to road trip way more... and sorry but less than 200 miles to the tank ain’t cutting it

I mean if you are looking for a straight trade I'll let my ST go lmao

BTW the range on the ST isn't much better. The small tank is a pet peeve of mine. On a road trip you're looking 300-320 miles on a tank, my daily commute puts me at 250-270 miles per tank before it's time to fill up again.

I’m at half tank and it says 80 miles to empty ...

No lie, with a 12psi pulley, PMAS 120MM intake and 4:10s I think my 2011 gets 10-11mpg average.

My Excursion gets 8.5 to 9.5 mpg for reference.... lol.

I'm at a point where I need to either get a beater 4 cylinder, or trade the Shelby in for a GT when shes paid off in a month.

I love to road trip since I only work 3 days a week now. So it’s time to have something I can just sit back and enjoy

I never understood why they would put such a tiny tank in them. I had a focus 5spd and would barely get 300 to the tank. They need extended range tanks for them. I can get 380-400 out of my 93 Camry wagon.

No bullshit, 13-14 S197 Coyote. I had a 2014 GT M6 briefly, with 3.31s (needed 3.55s badly). I got 29 mpg avg from San Diego to Vegas. Did that trip in that car a few times. Very impressed with the Coyote. I sold the car to my dad so I could get the Shelby.

In retrospect, I should have gotten a 13-14 GT A6 and been happy enough to have just kept it. Add a twin Turbo kit with boost controller and ethanol and I'd probably be saying "Shelby who?" Lol

gotta be my biggest gripe with this car. My commute is 60 miles round trip plus any other driving I do so I’m filling up twice a week on average. My wife’s 15 civic by comparison is averaging 450-480 miles a tank.

I’m buying her a pilot later this year and will take over the civic as my daily driver and let the ST rest awhile.

And here I am complaining about gas when my commute is only 14 miles.

My Pullied/etc Cobra and Sport both gave me 12~ on street, pretty bad and that was mainly driving like a grandma.

Except....the Explorer I have listed in stock is a new 2021 Explorer Limited with 0 miles on it. The 2021 Explorer you shared is a Ford Courtesy Transportation vehicle, meaning it has between 2-4,000 miles. It also will be eligible for $2,000 extra rebates that mine would not be. To continue, if you read the description, that price also includes the consumer trading in a 2000 or newer vehicle worth at least $1,000.

But after reading that, they'll get warnings from Ford. At the top of their ad, it specifically states the trade has to be 2000 or newer...down in the next paragraph it states 2010 or newer. They also spiff $1,000 to finance through them, which is in turn made up on the back end.

I hate dealers that advertise like that.
Oh Snap!
